Lieutenant Tuvok spent a great many years with Starfleet before becoming Voyager's tactical and security officer. He struggled to control his emotions over the years. Aboard Voyager, he provided assistance to those in need of a mental journey, such as Kes and B'Elanna. Tuvok and B'Elanna grew somewhat close once the Maquis and Starfleet crews became one. Tuvok sometimes had a difficult relationship with Neelix, but found close friendship with Captain Janeway, whom he had know for a long time. Tuvok can always be relied on for the logical side of things.
