My fellow workers,

By now you’re all probably aware that this past Friday Dolly May’s car was struck and damaged by another vehicle in our parking lot. It’s now the following Tuesday and still no one has come forward to accept responsibility. If the person who did this doesn’t come forward soon, Dolly will be left with two options: report the incident to her insurance company (incurring a $500 deductible and risking a premium increase) or pay for all repairs out-of-pocket. Either way she’ll suffer considerable personal expense through no fault of her own.

I hope that after considering the trouble and expense they’re putting her through, the responsible party will be moved by their sense of decency to do the right thing and come forward. Dolly is a good person and while she may be upset at what has happened, I know she’d be grateful to hear from whoever was involved, settle things and put the whole incident behind her.

In solidarity,

John.
