Now, why would you want to...
DOWNLOAD
this entire section of UTHUR'S ALCOVE?
The possible reasons are numerous:
- You pay your internet service provider by the hour, and would like to save some costs by reading this off line.
- Your kid wants to get up on the internet to download some new tunes or the latest computer game...and (while your kid has his own computer) you're hogging the only access.
- Maybe you want to be able to go back and forward, to follow up on some ideas or verify something I said earlier, and just know that it would take less time if this were on your machine at home instead of having to wait for the internet.
- You have a friend who isn't connected to the internet, or doesn't even own a computer, and you want to pass this on to him.
- Possibly you only want to pick apart my JavaScript so that you can do something similar on your site. (That's how I did it, with the help of a book from O'Reilly.)
All of these reasons are legitimate, and if your reason isn't listed here, it is most likely legitimate as well.
To facilitate your desire, I have placed the entire contents of this site, some 29 html documents and 97 graphic files, or 62 pages of printed text, into two separate zip files which you can download in a fraction of the time it would take you to go through this entire section on the web. You will need a "zip" utility to open these files so that you can use them. (I don't have nor can I currently afford to obtain the capabilities of making a "self extracting" zip file.) If you don't have one on your machine already, a "shareware" version can be obtained at the following link.

When you're set, just click on any one of the links below and your machine will give you the directions to help you place this in the location of your choice.

NOTE: File name is "open index first.zip"
â, so I can't make a Claris Worksâ file.
The M.S.Wordâ version should readily convert to M.S.Worksâ.
The HTML version doesn't include this "page," but it does contain a "page" describing my web site, as does the M.S.Wordâ version.
