UTHUR'S MUSINGS will be going on a five week hiatus, and will return the first weekend of March. The reasons for this are as follows:
The SHOWER OF STOLES is coming to my home town the weekend of February 24th. The SHOWER OF STOLES is a collection of liturgical stoles donated by people who have either been removed from religious office because of their sexual orientation, or prevented from filling a religious office for the same reason. These offices could be anything from pastor to custodian and can include choir director, organist, or missionary. Each stole is accompanied by a paper telling the story of the person who donated the stole. The church which is bringing the SHOWER OF STOLES to my hometown is planning a three day event. I have joined the committee dealing with education/workshops for this event. Since this cause is very important to me, I believe that I need to dedicate more of my time to it.
In addition, I have found that most of the links to that portion of my web site dealing with homosexuality and the Bible, entitled CHURCH AND HOMOSEXUALITY, have become broken. I need to take extra time to repair all of those links and to design a system of links for my entire web site that will prevent this from happening in any other portion of my web site.
Finally, the headlights of my truck do not work. Since I drive to work in the dark and back home in the dark, I need to fix these. This will make life easier on my wife, who has had to drive me to and from work since the headlights went out.
I put in 48 hours plus in my job, often times more depending on the needs of the company and the store. My family has been very supportive of my efforts for UTHUR'S MUSINGS. However, with these additional responsibilities, I believe that it is only fair that something is cut out. Therefor, I have decided that UTHUR'S MUSINGS needs to be temporarily cut while I work on these other projects. I hope that you will understand this need and return to UTHUR'S MUSINGS in March.
