Formed in 1909, by a multicultural group of progressive thinkers the national association for the advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is a non-profit organization established with the objective of unsuring the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority groups. The NAACP has as its mission the goal of elimination race prejudice and removing all bariers of racial discrimination through the democratic process
The principal objective of the Longhorn College chapter id the understand unity and develop diversity among the UT students, Faculty, Staff, and greater community as a whole.
