UWI Installation

Please follow the following steps to install the software:

* Please close any previous version of this software if currently running.

* Uninstall UWI Smart Process for previous version of this software.

* Install UWI package to Setup Files Dump of Windows Operating System :

Place UWI Package Files For :

Windows 98/Me -- Setup file Folder {Along SETUP.EXE}

Windows 2000/XP/2003 -- i386 Folder

UWI Uninstallation

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To uninstall this program, please follow the following steps:

* Run UWI.exe

* Choose 'Remove UWI Smart Process' Option From Menu

* Press 'R' To start Semi Uninstallation (Only Smart Process Will Be Removed)

* Press 'C' To start complete Uninstallation (Smart Process + Command Center,

Command Center Data File + UWI Utility & User Help File Will be removed )

* Run UWI.exe and Install UWI Smart Process.

* To Install, Choose Hard Disk Drive For Windows Installation.

* Run UWI Run Utility To Start Installation.

^If running in DOS mode:

- Activate UWI Real DOS Mode Support For Faster Installation.

- Press 'ENTER' Key To Begin Installation.

Where 'x' represents drive where Windows will be installed.

* /Txtcol:<colname> : This feature helps in giving new text color to UWI Command Center.

EX : To give new text color

UWI /txtcol:lightred

* /Bgcol:<colname> : This feature helps in giving new background color to UWI Command

Center.

EX : To give new background color

UWI /bgcol:lightgreen

* /Strcol:<colname> : This feature helps in giving new strip color to UWI Command

Center.

EX : To give new strip color

UWI /strcol:lightblue

* /CDMode : This feature activates CDMode Module in UWI for Windows

Installation Thru CD-ROM. CDMode can be activated whenever there

is need for installation from CD-ROM i.e. activate this

module, if u have burnt Windows Installation with UWI Smart

Process Installed onto a cd & want to do installation from it.

EX : To Activate CDMODE Module

UWI /cdmode

* /DosMode : This feature activates real DOS mode in UWI for faster Windows

Installation.UWISD is the main module responsible for faster real

DOS mode.

EX : To install Windows from dos mode

UWI /dosmode

* /Nodosmode : This feature turns off real Dos mode support in UWI.

*Not Documented in UWI Help.

EX : To start UWI with real dos mode support turned off

UWI /nodosmode

* /Noscan : This feature helps in skipping scan for O.S. files necessary for

Installation.

^USED with " /os:<osname> " property.

EX : To skip scanning & forcing UWI to act acc.

Windows Server 2003

UWI /noscan /os:2003

* /Os:<osname> : This feature forces UWI to act acc. to specified O.S.

^Valid property arguments :

- /os:98

- /os:me

- /os:2000

- /os:XP

- /os:2003

EX : To install Windows XP specified with /os

UWI /noscan /os:xp

* /Nosound : This feature turns off Sound Events in UWI.

EX : To start UWI with sound events turned off

UWI /nosound

* /SpeedDos : This feature Loads UWISD Module from USOFT LTD. and Improves DOS

performance by 66% including DOS commands.

EX : To speed up DOS

* /Verbose : This feature forces UWI to go into Verbose Mode for end user.

EX : To start UWI in Verbose Mode

* Install UWI Smart Process.

* Choose Install Windows with UWI & Specify Drive

* To start up-gradation, Run UWI Run Utility.

* Can I Upgrade To Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server From Windows 98 With UWI?

Yes, you can. Follow these simple steps:

* Start Windows.

* Install UWI Smart Process with Win 9x Upgrade to "YES" in Xtra Settings.

* To Upgrade, Specify Drive Where Previous Version Of Windows 98 Is Installed.

* Run UWI Run Utility.

^ You Can Also Upgrade Windows NT to Windows 2000 & Windows 2000 To

Windows XP & Windows XP to Windows 2003 (i.e. Lower Version Of Windows

* Can I Reinstall Windows 98/ME on previous Win 98/ME Installation?

Yes You Can. Windows 98/ME Reinstallation Is Usually Done For Replacing

Missing or Corrupted Windows System Files.

UWI Supports Windows 98/ME Reinstallation without Any Data Or Info Loss.

With Reinstallation You Can Also Choose To Save Previous Windows for Future

O.S. Uninstall.

To Reinstall the Windows 98/ME:

* Install UWI Smart Process.

* Choose Drive Where Windows 98/ME Is To Re-install.

* Run UWI Run Utility.
