Financials

Year-to-date 2007 CUUPS has generated $1,706.50 to date. We're still $2,293.50 short of our goal.
We haven't used any of our budget.

IA Status Update
CUUPS National has lost it's Independent Affiliate (IA) status with the UUA
CUUPS is looking at joing a coalition of spiritual groups to regain that, but the UUCT board has told us that it will not affect the standing or activities of Circles in the Woods CUUPS. CUUPS national will still exist and our status as a chapter of CUUPS National will not change.

Action item: Ollis will check on CUUPS membership card status for all of us that have sent in dues, but not received their cards.

Action item: Need to update the CIW CUUPS bylaws in October if CUUPS national does not regain it's IA status

Ritual Commitee

The ritual calendar for 2007:
August 25th ritual will be "Honoring Diversity" presented by Circle of One
September 29th ritual will be presented by Sacred Oaks Circle led by Mayd Heron and KnightsPhyre
October 27th ritual will be held outdoors, presented by Sacred Oaks Circle led by Sirona
November 24th ritual will be our annual bardic circle with our second silent auction
December 22nd ritual is still open

Rituals are by invitation only – Wicca 101, Sacred Woods Coven, and Sacred Oaks Circle fill some rituals and other groups are invited for the remaining dates.

Out Reach

October 6th is Pagan Pride at the Clearwater UU Church. If anyone wants to go, please notify us so we can provide information for a table. Witches Masquerade: Next planning meeting is on August 19th immediately following the church service (around 12:15 PM)

Mary's working on getting Ross to agree to do photos at the Witches Masquerade. There are a couple other possibilites.

Al and Sherri are going to make the haunted dome a Dungeon theme with 2 scare levels.

Lynn Parrish, Dawn and Ruth will make baked goods. Other baked goods are needed and necessary. Please contact Mary Francis for details.

Amy, Al and Jim are creating outside decor. Extra setup help to erect the village may be needed in case Jim is not yet 100%.

Food: We'll revisit this at a later masquerade meeting. Ashley volunteered to tend bar if necessary.

Text for potion labels as well as odd shaped little bottles are needed for the witches masquerade. Place a sticker on the bottom with your name if you want them back.

October 13th will be a CUUPS-wide Buidings and grounds day starting at 8:00 AM. We will have a masquerade work day to decorate the church on Oct 26th

Buildings and Grounds

Normally the 2nd Saturday every month, 9 am. Come and help keep up the church! -- CUUPS members are especially wanted in September and October to help clear the grove in preperation for the October ritual.

October 13th will be a CUUPS-wide Buidings and grounds day starting at 8:00 AM.

New Business

Miracle Sunday on September 9th from noon to ?? -- Need new or like new garden tools, seeds, etc for a basket. Miracle Sunday is a fundraiser to close the gap in the church budget to pay for the new AC, Employee Salaries, upkeep, etc. There is a need for donations -- Amy chimed in and offered a bread a month. Services, physical goods, etc are needed.
Action items: Ollis needs to bring a wand for the prop box. Chris and Jamie needs to bring a witch hat and cloak. Mary needs to bring her gong.

The next silent auction will be at the November ritual.
