Becky Styles' Backstage Pass
UWE FRENZY - Card 01.01 - Year 2003, Week 1
UWE Extreme Arena - Pittsburg, Pa.
Hi fans, this is Becky Styles, and every week, after Frenzy, I'll
give you the lowdown on what you didn't see, with my backstage pass
to the UWE! The first night of ladies' action in The Extreme Arena
saw a lot go down in the locker room area with a lot focusing on the
TV Title Tournament's prelim round. Looks like these ladies are
holding all kinds of grudges, and, of course, I was taking notes…
To absolutely no one's surprise, "Amazing" Amy Adams took
out "Avenue's Own" Tiffany Park in the first match tonight. Well,
that's not entirely true… Tiffany was surprised. Especially seeing
as her T.N.T. tag partner Tonya Holvin was at ringside. Quickly
vowing that the Missouri native must pay, "Tinsel Town" Tonya made
it known she wanted Amy Adams next week. According to Amy, "Miss
Tinsel Town better watch her mouth. This ain't Hollywood and ain't
gonna be no stunt double to stand in for her when she steps in with
me." I think Tonya can take that as a firm "I'll be there."
Dreamer brutally took apart "Malibu" Jane of "The Cali Connection"
in the second match on the night, bloodying the young rookie,
leaving a wound that required 8 stitches to close. While in the back
being tended to by doctors and her partner "Venice Beach" Vicky,
Jane commented on the match, "Look, Dreamer's tough, no doubt, but
she didn't need to resort to that barbwire bat. That's her turf. I'd
love to see how she does on mine."
Her partner Vicky laid out the challenge, "Jane played it one-on-one
with you, now find a partner Dreamer, and see if you can handle The
Cali Connection. `Cause, like, you will so wipeout." Most of
Dreamer's remarks were too graphic to note here, but we can quote
this much, "Girls, it's called Universal Wrestling EXTREME. You
can't play, then go home. You want more? Cool, but I don't need a
partner for you two prima ballerinas. See ya' next week." A handicap
match between Dreamer and The Cali Connection has been booked.
It looks like a cold war is going to start hot and heavy in UWE.
After a hard-fought contest, "The All-American" Cindy Majors found
herself on the receiving end multiple RED STAR PRESSES from Star of
The People's Army. It was only the timely intervention of Cindy's
friend Beckie Adams that saved her from suffering more punishment.
Unfortunately, as she headed back, Beckie was surprised in the
entrance way by "Heartbreaker" Heather Harte and the SWEET KISS
GOODNIGHT.
Backstage, Beckie couldn't be reached for comment, but I caught up
with "The All-American" and she had this to say, "People like Star,
Hammer, and Sickle have no place in this day and age. They want to
drive UWE back to the dark ages and they think everyone will lay
down for them because they are working for `the people.' Their Army
isn't for the people, and I will fight them at every turn because
the people… my people… want them gone.
"Beckie made herself a marked woman by helping me, but I'll be
watching out for her and I'll be there to help if I'm needed. And
one more thing, Heather Harte, it was awful convenient you just
happened to be behind that curtain to superkick Beckie. If I so much
as hear a rumor that you might have thrown in the Hammer, Sickle,
and Star, then you are next on my list."
As predicted, The Young Guns, Emma Colt and Kelly Winchester, picked
up the win over The Starlight Express. However, backstage, the
manager of The Starlights, Gillian S. Luger, seemed oddly
optimistic. I asked her how she could be so pleased when her charges
ended up with the losing end of purse. She had this to say, "Miss
Styles, money isn't everything. The Young Guns are looked at as one
of the best tag teams in UWE. My Express took them on and held on
for quite a while. That's a testament to their toughness and
determination.
"That's why I've withdrawn my Express from the TV Title Tournament.
I want them to concentrate on become a stellar tag team combination.
I know, with time, they can be the very best in UWE. That's why I
want these two ladies to face The Cali Connection, another fine UWE
team. I know they've got a match next week, and that's fine. We've
got the time to wait." The UWE Commission is considering the request
at this time.
After getting disqualified for using her highly illegal heart punch,
the HEARTACHE, Heather Harte brutally attacked Beckie Adams. Then,
Cindy Majors arrived. Repaying Beckie for helping her earlier in the
night, "The All-American" headed off the "Heartbreaker" and send her
running with the LIBERTY-PLEX. With Commissioner Gordon's ruling
that Star, of The People's Army, and Heather Harte would face Cindy
Majors and Beckie Adams in next week's main event, tempers flared
fast in the locker room.
Star had left the building at intermission, but her partner next
week had this to say, "I don't think our little Commissioner has any
idea who he is dealing with. I am the top rookie in UWE. I am the
best there is in this company. I am part of a wrestling dynasty! And
people think that some girl fresh off some farm in Kansas can hang
with me? Get real. I am a heartbreaker and the first heart I'm
breaking, is Beckie Adams'. As for Star, let her have Majors, but
little miss country girl is all mine!"
Of course, I had to tell Beckie what Heather Harte said, and Beckie
wasn't pleased by a long shot, "Dynasty? She's part of a wrestling
dynasty? Yeah, well, so am I, and I'll take the DNA test to prove it
if she will. I came here tonight for my debut. What's that girl do?
She jumps me before the match, then hits me with that heart punch
and goes and gets herself DQ'd. We both know why she did
that, `cause she couldn't put me down for the count. She did get one
thing right, Cindy and Star can deal with each other. But nothing
stands between me and her next week."
Just our first show and things are already heating up. Beautiful,
ain't it? I'll have more of what you didn't see next week, thanks to
my backstage pass. Bye, now!
