CHARACTER NOTES:

Vicky Hamlin, a native of Venice Beach, California, is one of three California natives that were in the first class of the UWE Madhouse. Before joining the UWE, Vicky Hamlin met Malibu native Jane Roberts during a volleyball tournament. The two became friends, and later teammates. It was only natural that they join UWE together, intent on becoming a premier tag team.

After entering the Madhouse, Vicky and Jane hooked up with fellow Californian Pam Packard. Together, they planned to form a stable called “The Cali Connection” and work together in the ring wars of UWE. However, during the final exam and try-out matches, Jane faced Pam and after a 30 minute draw, Pam became embittered and obsessed with the destruction of Jane Roberts. Vicky and Jane decided to push forward, forming “The Cali Connection” as a tag team, under the names “Malibu” Jane and “Venice Beach” Vicky.

As a team, The Cali Connection performed well in the indy tag scene in and around the New England states, making a name for themselves as solid tag team wrestlers. But, they are still inexperienced. That small fact hasn’t stopped them from setting their sights on the UWE Women’s Universal Tag Team Championship. With time and improvement, it looks like The Cali Connection should be set for a long run as a top team in the industry.

SIGNATURE MOVES:

• CALI CUTTER: a springboard 3/4 turn neckbreaker, it is a modified version of a move often called the Dudley Dog or the Acid Drop.

• TIDAL WAVE: a tag team finisher used by "The Cali Connection" where "Venice Beach" Vicky sets the opponent up for a catapult, and as she gets the opponent vertical, “Malibu” Jane comes off the top rope with a missile dropkick.
