Today was one of the most amazing days in UWF history and one which will be remembered by the people who took part, forever!
To open the show we had Decapitator and Kraven give a little run-down of everything taking place today.
D-Dawg's Dungeon
Guest: Vitamin C
We had D-Dawg's Dungeon to take place first and it turned out to be better than his first one! After introducing Vitamin C as his ONLY guest of the day, they began dissing Dominant Force and going through the matches they had today describing how each would lose. Once Shortkut decided enough was enough, the Dominant Force made their way out and began an attack on the two guys. After not long, James Tough came charging out to help out Vitamin C and D-Dawg but it wasn't enough to take out Dominant Force. Enter Bison. Bison Fury made a great appearence and evened the odds, and after not long cleaned house with Vitamin C, James Tough and D-Dawg along side him.
Interview with Raze
We caught up with Raze to get a quick interview on his thoughts on never being pinned and today's match. He said that he has to credit D-Dawg on being a man who knows what he is about but he has never lost a match and today he must teach D-Dawg the same lesson and leave him with the same fate as everyone else. He also said he has no worries as his challengers keep coming, the next more difficult to beat than the last but he keeps knocking them down so D-Dawg can bring it on!
Stejo & Jason vs The Wicked Clowns
Tag Team match
This match went down great and Stejo got some huge pops at the start, through and in the end. The Wicked Clowns used a smart strategy in this match, though, once they had Jason in they kept him away from Stejo, picking him apart, bit by bit. But Jason finally got the tag, however the referee was distracted by Hatchet and missed it, forcing Stejo to stay in the corner while the Wicked Clowns continued the assault on Jason. Finally, once it looked bad for Stejo and Jason, the new kid got the tag and Stejo finally got his shot. He planted both Wicked Clowns with a Burnout and then hit an AMAZING Frogsplash on both guys to pick up the win. He got a huge cheer after the match and had a good celebration with Jason.
Interview with James Tough
James was asked if he has any fears about facing Hostile today. He said that after Hostile tore the mask from Kid's face to reveal him as James Tough he released an inner anger in James that will be unleashed on Hostile today. He was also asked if him winning the tournament evened the score until Payback. He said that the score was not evened and that his weapon of choice is more effective as it is the weapon used by Shortkut to put out Bison Fury and today, at Battle Zone, he would use it to put away one of Shortkut's own Dominant Force memebrs. He closed by saying "I'm too Toguh for you!"
Raze vs D-Dawg
Ladder match
X Division Championship
The match sunk in pretty fast, with D-Dawg and Raze showing great signs of determination. The ladders were used to mainly Raze's advantage as he lay them on D-Dawg twice, landing two Rolling Thunders on D-Dawg. If this wasn't enough brutality the ladders where then set up like a table which Raze hit an amazing Bulldog on D-Dawg with, jumping right over it but landing D-Dawg right on top of it. After getting really cocky with the ladder abuse he set the ladders up like a table again and went for a spear on D-Dawg but after waiting to long to charge at the challenger, he was Back Bodydropped right onto the ladders, leaving him motionless for a few seconds. D-Dawg then grabbed hold of a Spanner from the side and waited for Raze to get up but as he went to nail Raze with the Spanner, the champion ducked and D-Dawg nailed the referee but he didn't stop to worry as he turned and caught Raze in a Death Valley Driver and then went straight for the title. He managed to retrieve the title but as he decended the ladder he was met by Hostile who nailed him with a brutal shot to the head and then gave the title to Raze who staggered to his feet and got the referee up to notice him with the title and declare him the winner. Raze then gave a quick interview saying that anyone else wanting a shot at the title can expect the same fate.
Interview with Hostile
He was asked about when he tore the mask from Kid's face and if he fears him now that he has brought out a new anger. He said that James Toguh has always been a pussy and that he guarantees he'll bring the title home. He was then asked if he feels more confident about winning after seeing Raze win already. He said no, that he knows he'll win it. He finished by telling James to beware of the chain!
Kraven's Flower Hour
Guests: Decapitator & Grant
After welcoming out his guests he manipulated both guys in a way that caused some friction between them. After saying their own piece Grant and Decapitator broke out into a fight which then lead to a match, concluding Kraven's Flower Hour.
Decapitator vs Grant
Single match
The match was semi decent as it got a lot of "Boring" chants throughout. It was ended when Decapitator planted Grant with a thunderous Spinebuster for the 3 count. We tried to find out if he was returning but he wouldn't comment on the matter.
Interview with Bison Fury
Bison was asked if he is ready to take on Shortkut when it's all about Principle and Pride. He said he's more than ready and said that Shortkut got his attention back at Uprising when he screwed him out of the UWF Championship. He mentioned his match at Battle Zone 3 and then said that this is the Ultimate Submission match, so it's 20 minutes of hell for Shortkut! and said that there is no chance in hell he is walking out of today as the loser! He finished by telling Shortkut to be very, very afraid!
James Tough vs Hostile
Weapon of Choice match
Weapons: Hostile - Steel Chain ; James Toguh - Steel Pole
Hardcore Championship
If it wasn't enough that they had the Pole and Chain as their choice of weapon, James and Hostile took it to the extremes when they involved tables, ladders, light tubes, rocks, shutters, railings and rope. After James landed on Hostile with flip off the ladders and Hostile underneath another set of ladders, both guys started feeling the intensity of such a match. James recovered before Hostile and started battering away at his knee with some kicks, the ladders and his steel pole. Hostile suffered a serious knee injury throughout the rest of the match but it didn't stop him. He went straight for a light tube after recovering enough that he could stand and smashed it over James' back numerous times. He then took it onto the concrete where he smashed James' head against a metal railing and battered him against a shutter a few times. He then started hammering into his head with a rock before the action got back to the ring area. If James wasn't already feeling the pressure enough, Hostile Suplexed him from a ladder right through a table which litterally broke him in half, as did it the table. To try and win the match Hostile then grabbed some rope which he got from the crowd and tied it around James' neck to try and choke him out. But it wasn't enough to put away James Tough. The Champion managed to knocked Hostile onto the ground and then slowly got to his feet, using the ladder for leverage. He then got hold of the rope that Hostile was using and whipped him over the side with it, making a huge sound when it connected with Hostile. He then German Suplexed Hostile through the remains of the table and then looked like he was ready to win. But as he went to closeline Hostile he was caught in the Crossface and instead of applying it properly, Hostile got out his steel chain and choked James out, to win the match and become Hardcore Champion! He was then met by Vitamin C who offered a handshake but instead of shaking hands, Vitamin C smashed half a light tube over Hostile's head and then executed the Overdose on him right on top of a ladder.
Shortkut vs Bison Fury
20 Minute Ultimate Submission match
Once both guys were out, they arranged an arm wrestling contest to take place. After trying twice to cheat and then losing, Shortkut slapped Bison over the head. He then took a quick advantage and before long got the first fall after making Bison tap out to the Ankle Lock. Bison came back quickly though with an Armbar, forcing Shortkut to tap out. From there, though, both guys started using some big moves to try and weaken the opponent as they knew it wouldn't get any easier. So after both guys were feeling the pressure, Shortkut managed to sneak in with his Short-Circuit and force bison to tap, lifting his score to 2-1. Shortkut then set up the tallestladder and got Bison in position. He then climbed the ladder, looking asif he was going to execute a high-flying move. But as he was climbing the ladder (with his back to Bison), Fury got to his feet and pushed the ladder over, sideways, sending Shortkut crashing through the Arm-wrestling table. From there Bison went on to lock Shortkut in a very painful-looking hold which forced the eagar Shortkut to tap again, making it an even 2-2. With the remains of the table Bison got Shortkut and sent him through it with an Overdose shouting, "This one's for VC!". Finally the last minute of the match came it Shortkut looked to have it won, but Bison managed to escape the hold and get Shortkut locked in Sharpshooter with 20 seconds remaining. And in the last 3 seconds Shortkut tapped! Bison then had a huge celebration with all his friends and the Dominant Force attended to Shortkut. Bison then offered his hand to Shortkut and surprisingly the Force leader accepted and they shook hands.
Ludicrous vs Rambo
Best 2 out of 3 Falls match
1st Fall: Singlee match - 2nd Fall: Table match - 3rd Fall: Street Fight
UWF Championship
To start things off, Dominant Force all came out together. Shortkut said that Rambo has been crownd as the new Champion since Ludicrous has not shown up for his match. They then held Rambo up, over their shoulders to celebrate Rambo as the new Champion. But before they could continue, Ludicrous' music hit and he charged in from behind a large building. He threw down his belongings and charged at the Dominant Force, taking them apart until it came down to just him and Rambo. It started of pretty easy going. Rambo had a couple of good oppertunities to get the pin but he missed them and was even knocked off the Champ after an attempted RKO. But the first fall came when Rambo faked a serious injury and lay motionless while Ludicrous looked on in confusion. After thinking aobut what had happened, Ludicrous covered Rambo to go for the 3 count but what he didn't realise is that Rambo was faking the whole thing and reversed the pin into a quick roll-up of his own to steal the first fall. From there, though, Ludicrous made sure Rambo wouldn't try anything else like that and really took it to the challenger. He hit him with some seriously effective manouveurs and it looked like it might be over for the hopeful Rambo. One move which really looked devastating was a thunderous Brainbuster by Ludicrous which had Rambo land right on his neck. Ludicrous then had the table set up and it didn't look clear as to which guy was going to go through as each guy would reverse the others attempts. Finally Ludicrous lifted Rambo high into the air and spun him round, 360, and planted him through the table with a sickening Spinebuster. So the score was evened at 1-1 with the finally fall to be decided. It seemed like it could go either way in the final one with both guys giving it all they had and this was backed up by what they went through but still managed to survive. We saw Rambo kick out of the Suicide DDT, the first time that has happened in recent history. We also saw Rambo survive a Brainbuster through the table's remains, Rambo being thrown through the piled ladders and table remains and Ludicrous Piledriving Rambo from the ladders. After all this it seemed like it was definetely over for Rambo but Ludicrous set up the ladders, hoping to pull off something amazing to end the match but Rambo somehow grabbed hold of Ludicrous and executed the RKO right from the top of the ladders and became UWF Champion with a 3 count pinfall. He was then greeted by Raze and Hostile who celebrated with him as the show came to an end!
We saw some great happenings at Battle Zone today. But one thing we didn't see was Shortkut at Rambo's celebration. You would have thought he would have been the first one to raise his arm in the air. Where was Shortkut after the event? How will Ludicrous react to losing the title after having the longest reign ever? What will happen with Dominant Force now that their leader is the only one without gold and the only one to lose at Battle Zone. What will be the fallout from Series 4!? Make sure you don't miss the first event in series 5, Uprising!
