REUNION: 01 June 2008
The Reunion finally happened on the 1st day of the 1st month of summer!
The show opened with a warm welcome from UWF owner Andy Rankin. He wished everyone the best of luck in their matches and noted that he wouldn't be competing as he has made a deal with someone that has gotten him someone else worthy of taking the spot.
TOURNAMENT ROUND 1
Jim O'Mac vs Sonic
Jim managed to talk Andy into letting his friend compete in the Tournament since Edgecrusher no-showed. Andy granted his wish and Jim took on Sonic in the first round. The animal Jim took his first victory when he made Sonic tap to a double arm submission maneuver. He said he was ready for the rest!
James Wilson vs Crimson
Crimson came out looking ready to go and that he did when he took his second victory in UWF (he beat Grant previously) against debuter, James Wilson. Crimson took the win after laying James out with his deadly finisher he calls the Wicked Prayer.
We went back to have an interview with Ludirous who was one of the competitors in the Hardcore title match. He had massive news for us, telling us that Hostile hasn't shown up to the event and as a result has fourfeited his Hardcore title. Before he could finish announcing that he is the new Hardcore Champion he was interupted by Spyke who told him he is no Hardcore Champion and that he is "NOT HARDCORE!" He then added injury to insult when he slapped Ludicrous in the face.
Duke vs "The Undertaker"
Andy's major surprise of the day was arranging to get The Undertaker to participate against Duke fors the Tournament. However even the WWE's own aren't good enough when it comes to competing in a UWF ring! Duke snuck up behind the Phenom and dropped him with a dropkick before finishing things with a Swanton Bomb. Undertaker measured him up with a Chokeslam afterwards.
Backstage, Shortkut ran into Raze and wished him luck in his return match against Stejo telling him to show that he will always be undefeated!
Spyke vs Kid
Kid took quite a beating in this one but as Spyke looked to have it won Ludicrous came out and distracted the beast with a chair which gave Kid the oppertunity he needed to hit a low blow and finish Spyke with a new reverse Death Valley Driver which got him the win.

Raze vs Stejo
X Division Championship
Stejo came out to perhaps the biggest ovation of the day but when Raze came out he told Stejo this is his "last chance." It was the biggest match for both guys! The action went back and fourth and Stejo showed that he definetely is worthy of being in the X Division title match. However, Raze showed us why he is X Division Champion. There were some weapons used that could have given either guy an advantage late on in the match but it was Raze who reversed an attempted Burnout by Stejo and nailed the challenger with a thunderous Pedigree to win it and remain undefeated as well as UWF X Division Champion. Stejo gave it 110% in this one and the match could have been his, but one slight mis-calculation can prove to be fatal. This won't be the end of this feud.
In the backstage area Andy was lighting a cigarette as Spyke approached and slapped it out his mouth. He told Andy he wants a match with Ludicrous to determine the champion. Andy told him "No" but Spyke didn't let it end there when he grabbed Andy by the throat and demanded he get the match. Andy, obviously startled, gave Spyke the match, meaning the Hardcore title would be defended today!
TOURNAMENT ROUND 2
Jim O'Mac vs Crimson
The match went to an extreme we didn't think any matches in the tournament would go to. Crimson tried to land on Jim through a table but with his little enegry he had left Jim managed to move out the way and leave Crimson crashing to his loss.
Duke vs Kid
Kid definetely showed a massive change in character and ability since he last wrestled in UWF. Duke, however, showed us that he has been waiting for this oppertunity for a long time when he landed a perfect and punishing Swanton Bomb on Kid to win the match.

Ludicrous vs Spyke
Hardcore Championship
As a result of Hostile not turning up to the event due to reasons unknown, Andy allowed Spyke to get a match with Ludicrous and have the Hardcore Champion determined that way. The match was beyond anything describable, all that can be said is that it is the most extreme UWF has ever been. From spearing through tables, to thumb tack gloves, to lightubes being smashed over each others heads. The end came when Spyke had one of the by standers light up one of the tables and Suplexed Ludicrous right through which was enough to keep the former UWF Champion down for the 3 count. Spyke became the new Hardcore Champion! Ludicrous, however, showed his respect by shaking hands with him afterwards.
TOURNAMENT ROUND 3
Jim O'Mac vs Duke
In the final match of the Ultimate Tournament we saw Jim take the victory after delivering a devastating Spine Buster on Duke to be crowned UWF's Ultimate Tournament Champion. He held his trophy with pride and honour and said it was great to get to where he is!

Rambo vs Shortkut
UWF Championship
Sudden Death Match
The most anticipated match of all time was the main event for UWF's last ever show, the Reunion! Rambo and Shortkut go way back to when UWF first began, when Shortkut beat the champ on his debut, back when Rambo was the rookie and Shortkut was the bully. Eventually Rambo became part of the Force and Shortkut helped Rambo get to the top, not realising he would go ahead with his own initiative and become UWF Champion. Today they settled the score in what was one of of the most intense and emotional matches ever! They started off with attempted finishers but both predicted and avoided the others attempt having had much experience in that area. With some of the highlight spots being Rambo receiving a Super kick to the face whilst holding a light tube and then being flipped from a ladder through a table. Rambo gave the crowd what they love with a bit of the old Worm and the infamous Five Knuckle Shuffle. It finished with Shortkut going for his old fashioned ways of winning when he went to use the title to lay Rambo out but the Champ ducked and piveted to catch Shortkut in the RKO for the win!

Rambo is still the UWF Champion! Raze kept his Undefeated streak and the X Division title! Spyke took the Hardcore title and Jim won the 5th Tournament held by UWF! The day was an absolutely explosive one! Everyone put in 110% and made their last performance a magnificent and memorable one!
