Biography

(explain your wrestler's past basically, why he is in wrestling now) He was one of the first big names in the NJWF, his trainer Michizane Kawatake put him in contact with the NJWF after it was opened. Due to his relatively short training period, and lack of experience on the Japanese Independent scene, many wondered if Metwaro would be able to make a name for himself. He quickly answered that question, due to his hard work ethic that saw him rise up the ranks in the NJWF during 2000. After joining he hasn't left the company, and has two BHC World Championship runs to his name.

He spent the first few months of 2008 tearing through the ICWF, gaining a significant amount of popularity in the states. He left the ICWF due to some problems with travel, and due to the NJWF having to go through a legal dispute over contracts set forth by Power which tied the company up.

Sugamoto was approached by Rich Haney on January 1, 2008 in attempt to bring
Kengoro Sugamoto  to the UWF. Sugamoto immediately agreed, and the Foundation Of Honor and UWF Front Office went through contract negotiations that lasted until Jan 3rd. Kenji and fellow Foundation Of Honor members have been watching the UWF closely.
