A jacket specially developed for the Trimix or extended range air diver. The in-house designers of the BUDDY Trident are all Trimix qualified and know first hand the problems and requirements associated with this type of diving.

The BUDDY Trident is a waistcoat design which allows easy storage of all accessories and hoses. The waistcoat eliminates the need for a through-legs strap and is stiffened internally making it easier to don. The central pocket is a double pocket, one zipped and one velcroed, with attachment points inside to tie on all accessories. This pocket is movable and removable and so it is easily customised to suit individual needs.

There are 5 reinforced velcro runways to route the hoses neatly around the body and there are two side pockets which are both top and bottom opening. Top opening for easy loading and bottom opening with a quick clip so you can pull out the contents (eg. lifting bag or EPIRB) yourself. These pockets are also removable, revealing eyelets onto which you can attach your own accessory (should the pocket not be suitable) or the pockets can be replaced with smaller weight pockets.

There are eight stainless steel D rings to attach the side mounted decompression cylinders and other accessories. The jacket is fitted as standard with the BK16 twin set kit, which is suitable for 171-178mm diameter cylinders, but other kits are available to cope with all sizes and can be requested as no-cost options.

When you are Trimix or extended range diving, you soon learn that redundancy, or more accurately Backup, is essential. This common sense approach can be applied when conducting ordinary sport dives by fitting one of the standard emergency air cylinders which provides, in a very lightweight package, emergency, buoyancy and breathing.
