Here you can read how I got into TeamFortress

how the UWS was born, ENJOY!
I was playing a lot of Unreal Tournament prior to trying Team Fortress.
I began playing TF just to test my newly aquired "broadband connection".
I found that my expirience from playing UT made me a decent player (for a newbie)
in TeamFortress. I first began playing on some UK based servers called,
"Games Inferno". After a few weeks I decided to try and find a decent US server.
Thats when I found "Knuckleheads". I played there for a while, then moved on to
another server, the name I can't recall. I met more players and was even invited to try
out for recruitment for a couple of clans, but I told them that I did not have the
time to be involved with a clan. I eventually made my way back to "Knuckleheads".
After playing there continuously, I met the likes of players such as:
the knowledge seeking "Prophet", the ALWAYS challanging "dont", the witty and amusing "canned_ham", and the sneaky 'lil sniping "Zero". They were the first of
my many friends in UWS that I met. At that time, ham and Zero were in clan WWD.
After some time they invited me to be a part of WWD, I decided it was time to join a
clan, so I accepted. I put the [WWD] tag on my name([WWD]Shadow) and was
now a member of a clan. We played for a week and then had our first practice.
This is where it all became confusing.
Our practice was being played on an open server? As far as the organization goes,
well, there wasn't any. Me and ham decided to quit out of the so-called practice
and go to ICQ and talk about the WWD practice. The next day ham and myself got to talkin' and decided it was time to do something. We got a hold of weezel and zero,
threw them our ideas, and the decision was final.
LETS START OUR OWN CLAN!!
We wanted a clan where there were no ranks or divisions (hence Uunited We Stand,
divided we fall). This is how clan UWS started. We four went on to pick-up, add,
recruit, whatever, some of the best and decent minded players that is UWS today.
We are a very proud clan. We are not in the game for personal gain or popularity.
We are here to fight together as a team. That is our best trait- TEAMPLAY!
Without it we would be just an average clan. I thank ALL the brothers in clan UWS.
I have enjoyed my times thus far playing TF with you and look forward to continuing
this bonding frienship with everyone. UNITED WE STAND!!
