2003: UXL present 'Trix' in "Back Spin"

A break from the old routine
Despite an opening night setback, with an injured robotics bod, UXL soldier on with definite promise of better things to come once they hit their stride. The young Edinburgh crew have a broad mix of breaking and bodypopping skills. Unfortunately for the B-girls it’s the boys who overwhelmingly get the whoops and plaudits for their backspins, handstands and freezes. A livelier, hip-hop friendly audience would undoubtedly have helped. But they soon shake off their early lack of confidence and occasionally sloppy synchronisation, feeding off each other’s energy and a fantastic soundtrack, showing heaps more attitude by the end.
