Desserts
Kheer
Ingredients :
Raisins for garnish
One half cup of rice
6 cups of milk
3/4 cups of sugar
Cinnamon to taste
Wash the rice well
and cook it with the milk to a boil, stirring constantly. This will
prevent the milk and rice from sticking and burning at the bottom of the pan,
and it will save you a wretched cleaning job. Reduce the heat to
medium-low and add the sugar and cinnamon and mix well. Place in
refrigerator until cool. Serve cold. You may wish to garnish with
raisins.

Ingredients:
Mix together the milk powder, flour and baking soda. Add the whipping cream and knead this mixture together. Keep the dough soft and pliable; if it starts to get tough, add more milk to it. Set aside. To make the sugar syrup that goes along with this dessert, add the three cups of sugar to the five and a half cups of water and boil this mixture. After it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and let it heat for about five minutes. add the powdered cardamom and mix. During the time, roll the dough into little spheres, roughly an inch to an inch and a half in diameter. Fry each ball until golden brown, but make sure they remain soft and they don't become crunchy. Let them cool. Once cooled down, add the jamans to the syrup mixture and place in refrigerator. Serve cold.
