Dracula's Birthplace
Vlad Dracula was born in the house pictured above in 1431. The house is located in Sighisoara, Transylvania and still stands today. Soon after Dracula's birth, his Father traveled to Nuremberg, Germany, to be invested into The Order Of The Dragon.
Tirgoviste
Tirgoviste, the former capital of Wallachia, in the southern portion of Romania was the location where Dracula lived during his years as Prince. Mircea The Old erected the palace.
Vlad Dracula moved to Tirgoviste in 1436 when his Father became Prince of Wallachia. He lived there only 6 years before he was sent to live with the Turks as a hostage.
