LOUDOUN COUNTY BICYCLISTS MEETING
Thursday, Sept. 2, 7-9 pm
Eastern Loudoun Regional Library, Cascades Meeting Room A.
All interested bicyclists are invited to strategize on immediate and longer-term bicycling objectives within Loudoun County. Private developers and VDOT are rapidly expanding Loudoun's roads, but bicycling and walking are poorly accommodated because Loudoun lacks an official plan for providing bicycle or pedestrian facilities. In addition, Loudoun is not preserving greenways (open space corridors and potential trail alignments) due to the lack of an adopted greenways plan. Political action for the upcoming election will be discussed. For more info, contact Allen Muchnick at muchnick@capaccess.org or (703) 237-8967.
