Current Moon Phase

This page obtains the times of sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, transits of the Sun and Moon, and the beginning and end of civil twilight, along with information on the Moon's phase from the U.S. Naval Observatory's Astronomical Applications server.

Time Zone:     hours   east of Greenwich   west of Greenwich

NOTES:

  • Daylight (or summer) time is not implemented in this program. When daylight time is in use, add one hour to the times listed in the table.
  • For worldwide locations that require it, the time zone can be entered in hours and a fraction. For example, for locations in Newfoundland, the time zone may be entered as 3.5 hours west of Greenwich. The time zone field can accomodate up to five characters.
  • The output times will be on a 24-clock.
