It turns out that the observatory was made by a now defunct company called Kinard Manufacturing out of Texas. I did some research on this company, and it appears they existed from 1986 to 1989 (judging from ads placed in Sky and Telescope). There was almost no information available on the net regarding this observatory or the company, so I have decided to post the instruction manual on this web site for posterity.
