Narrow Passage Chapter
Organized November 13, 1976

Woodstock, Virginia

The Chapter name was taken from Narrow Passage on the Pike, which is a strategic point - the only passable trail up or down the Shenandoah Valley. Originally an Indian road, later a pack horse trail, the Passage eventually widened to a wagon road, and finally to a highway connecting the southern area with the northern region of the Shenandoah Valley.  In 1754 it was the site of the last Indian outrage.
