What Is BLUETOOTH

Bluetooth is a new technology in wireless communicetion.
It lets you integrate numerous devices without using the usual cables.
In the conventional method, to synchronise data from the PDA to the Computer,
It was essential to connect the hotsync and then synchronise
using the necessary software.
But using bluetooth technology, you can direct your PC
to automatcally update from your PDA as soon as you are in the range.

Why is it called so?

It is name after the Danish king HARALD BLATAND, who united
Denmark and norway. Blue tooth is expected to unite Computing and Telecom.

How does it differ from radio communication

Radio communication has a shorter range compared to the 10m range of the Bluetooth.
Blue tooth does not need the devices to be in the line of sight.

How does it affect me?

There are endless possibilities, you can book flight tickets,unlock doors
get alerts just by your watch or a mobile phone. You get get messages from you
Microwave, fridge after completion of tasks. You can control heater's temperature.
You can transfer data between devices at speeds of 1Mbps.

Security??

It is very secure if not kept in DISCOVER mode. This vulnerability is exploited by
persons termed "BLUEJACKERS" who intend to send anonymous messages to bluetooth enabled
devices thereby creating panick.
