Perfect Pie Crust

~~ This is my favorite recipe for perfect pie crust.~~


1 3/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp. salt 2/3 cup shortning

2 Tbs. butter or margarine

4 Tbs. water

In large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in 1/3 shortning and 1 Tbs. butter until it resembles cornmeal. Add remain 1/3 shortning and 1 Tbs. butter and cut in until large crumbs. Drizzle water, tablespoon by tablespoon until combined. Ball up dough in one swipe and turn onto floured table. You then can roll into one 9'in circle, with enough dough for a generous lattice, OR, you can split the dough in half for bottom and top crusts.
