GOD TOOK THE TIME

God took the time,
To let me be born.
He brought me in this world,
To see what he has planned.
God took the time,
To hold me when my heart was worn.
He held me close when I cried,
And made me warm when I was cold.
God took the time,
To hold me near his heart.
And he told me I would make it,
Through all my lonesome times.
God took the time,
To teach me from the start.
He painted me a path,
To show me his glorious way.
God took the time,
To make me strong.
To let me see the world in my eyes,
And make my own mistakes.
God took the time,
To make me long,
To have him in my life,
Each and everyday.
God took the time,
To show me how to love,
With this love that I have,
I'll share it all with you.

THE MIRROR

Did you look in the mirror?
What did you see?
Did you see the beauty?
That's in your heart so free?
I can see your beauty,
The love and all the care.
The warmth of your heart,
The friendship that you share.
I looked in the mirror,
And what did I see?
I saw a woman standing there,
Just trying to be free.
I have a heart of gold,
A heart that has no end.
With love, peace, and happiness,
Which helps others mend.
Look into the mirror,
Look deep inside,
Share the heart you have,
Leave nothing to hide.
