In an FMA special, Envy has a conversation with Greed about how he was was a young man who loved Envy's mother. Greed denies the whole thing, saying that he is Greed and that he has no memory of having a relationship with Envy's mother.


Hates: He hates being told what to do, people hurting those who follow him, and not having a good time. He really dislikes Envy.

Likes: His "human" friends, women, money, power, and just being greedy.

Abilities: He has the power to use the carbon in his body. He can make it as hard as diamonds or as soft as pencil lead if he so wished. He reveals later, his "ultimate" form. A demon like humanoid. Click here to see. Though it will be a spoiler.

Oroburous Location: The back of his left hand.

Personality: Greed is unique among the Homunculi in the fact that he doesn't want to be human, no, he wants to be immortal. He wants a body that can never die. He also doesn't want to have to say "yes sir" or "yes mam" to anyone. His personality has many shades. On one hand, he's ruthless and cruel, on the other, he's caring and charming. Unlike the other villians in the show, he actually does care about those who work for him. In his own words "They belong to me". He protects what's his.

History:

There's a strong possiblity that Greed is in fact perhaps a lover of Envy's mother, after, or durring the time Envy's father left. This would perhaps explain why there is so much hatred between these two Homunculi. When Greed comes into the series, we see him tied up and unconscious in a strange room. Later in the series, We are informed that Envy, with the help of "That Person" was the one to seal Greed about 130 to 140 years ago.

Greed keeps his human self's skull around, not too close, but not too far away, and protects it as best her can. Like the other Homunculi, if he gets near a part of his human self's body, then he starts to lose his energy and becomes vulnerable.

Greed dies once in episode 33 for a "dominstration" to Al on how Homunculi can die and come back to life. And for the last time in episode 34 he allowed himself to die for good at the hands of Ed, to teach him how to kill a Homunculi. From the look on Ed's face when he realized that Greed really wasn't going to come back, it's obvious that Ed would have prefered that Greed had just told him.
