Personality/ Attitude:
Quiet, Tends to blend into the background when given half a chance Alanna loves to learn and reads anything she can. She is not especially active and could be considered slightly out of shape, she will need work to be in shape for weapons work and riding.

Brief History:
Alanna lived just outside a small village until she was Chosen. Her father (Paterik) is a trapper and hunter and her mother (Katrin) does weaving and takes in sewing. Alanna’s family has a few sheep, for the wool they provide, a milk cow, and some chickens. She has 4 rather loud brothers, 2 younger (Matt and Latham) and 2 older (Kole and Garren), being the middle child is a large part of the reason she tends to fade into the background. Kole is married with a baby on the way, while Garren works in the woods with their father. Matt is starting to learn their father’s craft, Latham, on the other hand, is, at 5, his mother’s darling and can do no wrong.
Nothing all that exciting happened in Alanna’s life until she was Chosen, the only other “big” thing in her life was her refusal to marry the boy her parents had picked out for her; she refused to marry without love. Alanna loves to learn and reads anything she can. She is not especially active and could be considered slightly out of shape, she will need work to be in shape for weapons work and riding.

I haven’t really worked out anything more as to Alanna’s background, or for that matter her Companion’s name (I’m thinking Shadow). I think that as Alanna grows used to the people around her she will become more vocal.
