Name:
Esur
Age:
Older adult
Physical
Description:
Esur is a fairly average kyree in most ways. Neither large nor small, fat nor
thin, strong nor weak, Esur is gray-black with shaggy fur. His eyes are a bright
and lively brown, and his ears are quite animated and usually show his mood. His
muzzle is beginning to gray and his joints ache when it rains, but there's still
plenty of life left in those old bones, and his mind is as spry as ever! Most
people think that he resembles a wolf, so he stays on the Collegium grounds so
that he doesn't frighten every horse in Haven.
Personality/Attitude:
Though his appearance is sometimes frightening, Esur is incredibly friendly and
kind. He is naturally trustworthy, so people can usually be found confiding in
him, and he always keeps that trust. He has many friends among those of all
stations. Esur has a very sarcastic and dry sense of humor, and is very witty.
Esur is a laj'ele'ruvon, or knowledge-seeker, from Clan k'Leshya (in the old
k'Sheyna Vale). He has wandered far and wide learning all he can about as many
cultures as he can, making him the perfect teacher of Cultures for the Collegium.
Brief
History:
Esur was born many years ago in k'Leshya Vale. He grew up there, but as a young
adult was struck with a sense of wanderlust, which has eventually taken him very
far from his home. He first traveled to the Dhorisha Plains to live with (and
was then made a member of) Tale'sedrin and Lila'irden, Clans of hawk and deer.
After that, he lived in Sunhame, Karse, at (Quenten's) Mage School; at the Court
in Rethwellan; in Shonar, Hardorn; and even attempted to move in with some
Holderkin! After being shot at by the angry Holderkin men, he continued on to
Haven, Valdemar. After arriving, he underwent a lengthy interview with some
Heralds, who, realizing his extensive knowledge of other races, invited him to
become the Teacher of Cultures. He was incredibly complimented and immediately
accepted, and as he was planning on settling down somewhere soon anyway (he was
getting older and not young enough for "adventuring" anymore), has
made Haven his permanent home. He has been teaching the classes for several
years now and hopes to continue to do so in the future.
