Physical Description
Jorge is a very beautiful man and has not lacked for hearing about it. His hair is dark brown and wavy and he wears it about chin-length. His eyes are light blue and his gaze his intense and very personal. He is quick to smile with a warm, bubbling laugh. At 6’2” he is a very striking figure; naturally lean and athletic, but his physical activities are limited to dancing and horseback riding because he doesn’t enjoy athletics or sparring. Most often he will be found wearing black with other rich colors. His tastes run to the extravagant at times and this clearly shows in his choice of clothing.

Personality/Attitude
Jorgen is very warm and friendly. His passions run strong and he never gives them short shrift. After all, his passion for performing has so determined the course of his life that he was willing to give up everything in order to pursue it. Jorge is exceptionally talented and skilled in his field, but he did not come by his current position easily. He learned his art with a great deal of hard work, determination, and no little amount of observation. Jorge loves to laugh, loves to spend time coming up with new, innovative ideas, and loves to be in the company of his closest friends. He is by no means a loner, but sometimes his station in life has been a deterrent to creating close friendships with his coworkers because most of them have come from such a different background and have been wary of him. This he understands, as he is equally wary of people who share his upbringing. Integrity and honesty are very important to Jorgen. He lives his life by the same values he respects in others and takes pride in that fact. He is confident, creative, and full of life and the living of it.

Brief  History
Jorgen was born the second of two boys to Loris and Marta Shovan in Crown City, Hardorn. His mother is somehow related to the royal family but so distantly that no claims for the crown could possibly be made by the Shovan boys. Loris was made duke of a small area to the East of Crown City but the family lived at the palace most of the year. Jorgen grew up wanting for nothing. He was quite good with academics, but sadly lacking when it came to athletics or weaponry. He was a late bloomer so was always at a physical disadvantage in his youth. His brother, who was built much more stoutly, often protected him from his classmates. Much of his free time was spent watching various performances in the city, or reading. He and his brother were sent to the family’s country home each summer. One summer when Jorge was 16, he fell in love with a young girl whose family lived near his country home. Her father was a retired merchant. When his parents discovered the relationship, the girl was quickly and quietly sent away and Jorge was immediately brought back to Crown City. He was furious. He lost all interest in his studies and grew very bitter at his lack of control over his own life. He pursued his self-education of the performing arts with a vengeance. One night, about a year after the incident with the girl, he followed a traveling acting troupe outside of the palace grounds and then continued following them out of the city. He hadn’t planned to run away, but when the opportunity presented itself, he took advantage of it. He spent a great deal of time after he left home observing and emulating the performers. When his money ran out he was lucky enough to get a position as a stagehand with the traveling troupe. After a couple years he had advanced to being one of the main players and often wrote for them. At that point, he contacted his parents and maintained a relationship with them via letter writing. Over the years, Jorgen became quite famous for both his own performances and his innovative and exciting productions. He had his own troupe and had total creative license. At the point in the story that we meet Jorgen, he has been back in Crown City for about six months. He was asked to bring his current troupe to the palace and was offered a permanent home there with a fat budget for continuing his creative pursuits. He suspected that his mother had a hand in the decision to offer the invitation, but after eight years on the road, he had grown weary of travel and welcomed the idea.

Goals in Life
To create a masterpiece of performance art. To stay out of the war with Valdemar.
