Physical Description:
Tall at 5'9", Blue-gray eyes, and skin that tans easily. She spends a lot of time outside searching for new ingredients for her dyes. Her hair color varies by the month as she experiments with colors and color fasts. At the moment her waist-length straight hair is a blue-green that complements her eyes and blue uniform (not exactly the easiest color to come up with).

Personality/Attitude:
While not very outgoing, she tends to associate with people of that nature. She loves to tease and has a sense of humor she considers wonderful, but others think she sometimes carries it too far. She usually knows when to quit, and tries to not offend her few friends. Although she'll talk to and tease almost anyone, she rarely considers anyone a true friend. She can be serious, when the occasion calls for it, but she jokes when she gets nervous. Lover of music and art, she doesn't think she's good at either.

Brief History:
The daughter of the village's dye-master, Lorien's been around color all her life. Her first hair-dye job came at the age of three when she fell in a vat of pink. Consequently, she's never liked the color since.

She became the woman of the house after her mother's death. Lorien was 8 years old when her mother died giving birth to her youngest brother.

Her father discovered her talents when she suggested trying plants he'd never thought of for dyes. To stop his daughter from taking over his place he sent her to Haven to become an Artificer. While her three siblings, (younger brother, sister, brother; in that order) objected, they couldn't overrule their father's decision. Lorien was excited about learning more than she could pick up from her father. She started off for Haven as soon as possible.

Goals in life:
To create a dye in every color that invades her imagination; to create the perfect, universal colorfast; to design clothing styles that are used all over the world; and to have fun while doing so.

Gifts:
She has an extremely small mindspeech gift that only shows itself when a mindspeaker 'shouts' at her while standing in her face. She has an immense creative gift (little "g"), a gift (once more little "g") of ingenuity, and a gift (again with that little "g") of intelligence. While she could have become an engineering Articifer, she loved creating color in a drab world.
