Meshel Willowlark
Age:
30
Occupation:
Herald
Born:
Westmark, Valdemar
Appearance:
Shel's 65 inches in height and of stocky build, somewhat
muscular. Her ivory skin does not go unblemished, freckles dusting
her high cheekbones and lightly over the bridge of her nose. Her
thick dark brows arch gently over almond shaped eyes that are rimmed
with short lashes nearly black and seems to bring out the bluish gray
color of her eyes and can't hide the yellowish gold starburst that
dances to create odd tints with her moods. Her lips are full and
dusky salmon. She keeps her hair somewhat long, about two
hand widths from her shoulder blades, the deep rich brown tones
softened to an auburn until it seems to blend the premature silvery
that shows at her temples, a hereditary gift from her mother. Her
hands are small, the digits delicate yet thick at the same time. She
sports a few scars from childhood and a few more recent while
adjusting to Herald training and under her Whites she sports a tattoo
of unknown origin, and only her Companion knows. She is part
Shin'a'in (father), part Valdemaran (mother).
Gifts:
Mindspeech (medium abilities) and Healing (medium, her mother
was full Healer material)
Companion:
Gwyn'nth (mare)
History:
Shel is a younger sibling, her brother Jamz leaving the
home to become a free bard when he was fairly young. She grew up
among her father's people, nomadic Shin'a'in's, and was taught
tracking, hunting by long bow and short bow, and anything else that
she could coerce her uncles' into teaching her. Her mother and
grandmother taught her herbal medicine along with her natural gift of
healing but she, too, left though to work for a book maker and doing
sketches and portraits for the nobles that passed through. There
she met a Shin'a'in merc and they married soon afterwards but not
long after their first child was born he was slain in battle; so,
living with the book maker, Cyn'nis, she raised their daughter
Aiden. She was in her mid twenties the day she was Chosen, having
gone out to collect things for dyes to make paint after her daughter
was getting too much on her nerves and sent out to calm down by her
mentor, to only be approached by rogue bandits in search of what ever
they could get their hands on. She fought hard and nearly beaten
down, Gwyn'nie showed up to save her and brought her back to the town
to be taken care of and healed before they left for the
Collegium. In the time of living in Haven, she has birthed
another child, Raven, after falling in love with a Bard but old fears
finally caused her to turn inward from him and so he left her as
well. Oddly, enough, she is happy being alone to raise her
children, Gwen'nie being almost like an older sister to her, and a
few other friends within the Collegium to keep her 'sane'.
