Long History-
"My parents live over by Lake Evendim, in a small village on the shore of the lake. I've always been wanting to leave, and since I was second youngest of my 6 siblings, I didn't really need to stay. My parents gave me permission to leave home when I turned 14. They gave me clothes and enough money to get to Haven, by foot, of course, because they couldn't afford to give me a horse. So I also brought a spare pair of boots. I left halfway through April, so I could get here before it got really cold. But, all plans are subject to change once they meet the enemy, and my enemy was the weather. It was very muddy on the roads, and the going was slow. I just got to Haven when midwinter festivals were going on, and I got accepted into the Bardic Collegium. I've always loved music more than anything, and wish to study it profusely. I guess I can do it even if I'm not a Bard, but I remember once, a few years ago, a real Bard came to our village, and his music was very pretty. He sung us 'Sun and Shadow,' and it was the most wonderful thing ever. I wish I could sing that well." Seraphina paused in her tale, remembering the emotions that went through her head when she was accepted into the collegium. It was mostly ecstatic. "I've been at the collegium a year and a half now, and finished circuit before first frost. I've received the title of full bard, and am trying to figure out where to go from here. I'm spending some time teaching classes at the collegium, and improving my skills, but I feel the need to do something, get up and make a difference. I'm not really the passive type, am I?" Chuckling, she looked off into the distance, wondering what might happen next.
