History:
Serende was born in White Gryphon, and
followed in his mother's footsteps to become a Silver
Gryphon, a law enforcer and soldier. He rose quickly
in the ranks, combining excellent fighting prowess
with an uncanny ability to organize and lead people.
He would likely have become a Captain, had tragedy not
befallen him.
In his success, he became arrogant. His arrogance led
him to miss a crucial clue in an investigation of
several recent murders of young women. That missed
clue allowed the killer to strike one last time - at
Serende's own wife and daughter. Serende tracked the
killer mercilessly after that, abandoning his other
duties, and eventually his position in the Silver
Gryphons. He spent years tracking the killer,
following a trail of death and carnage, and finally
caught up with him.
The battle was vicious, and though Serende slew the
madman, the wounds he received were fearsome, and
haunt him to the present day. He returned home, but
only long enough to gather together a group of trusted
friends, some former Silvers, others civilians looking
for adventure. He began a merchant caravan that took
some of the longest, most dangerous routes. They are
also the routes that keep him away from home, and too
many painful memories.

Personality:
Serende is a serious man, but he has a
gentle humor that shows itself when he is among those
he cares for. He is fiercely protective of his
friends, and those he considers to be his
responsibility. He is ever-vigilant, and nothing
escapes his notice.

Goals:
Currently, to open successful, and profitable,
trade routes with Valdemar and her neighboring northern
countries. And more importantly, to see that Aidanna,
his charge, is given the training and help she needs.

CHARACTER DECEASED

Serenade Swiftblade was murdered by assassin Anakerie Trident Heartsbane, who was hired by blood-path mage Memnar.  The murder occurred in posts 1292 and 1329.
