Female, red shoulder-length hair, thin, about 5’8, green/blue eyes – changes due to weather, and emotions. Her red hair she got from her father, as her mother's is black.

Personality/ Attitude:
Honour-bound, loyal, but distrusting of men, after a group of male barbarians attacked her village and killed her mother and sister. Her father and brother were each one of the Barbarians.

Brief History:
She was brought up as a Shin’a’in, which was her mother’s race, but after her father left, her mother took her and her sister back to the Shin’a’in people to grow up. Vanya became apprentice to the chief horse trainer. She helped him train Shin’a’in battle steeds.

Goals in life:
Become a full Herald, and protect Valdemar.
