To my one and own true love
this letter from the heart
Brings to you a special dream,
a gift that I impart ~

It has no wealth or treasure
of material worth
But it's value is far greater
than anything on earth ~

It can't be seen or even heard,
but it's whisper in the wind
Can be found in every beat
of the heart within ~

It's considered to be special,
thought very highly of,
It's a kind of feeling
we tend to call it love ~

A beautiful emotion
we hold so very dear,
A promise of forever
and sweet nothings in the ear ~

The value of my special gift
is life's greatest treasure,
It's something you cannot live without
and money cannot measure ~

I give it to you with the hope
you'll take very special care
For it's delicate fragility
one cannot compare ~

So my darling, please be careful
with this heart of mine,
I trust you with my heart and soul
until the end of time ~

Tender it with love and care
like a soft caress
And I promise you I'll be the wife
who will richly bless ~

My one true love, my heart's desire
the hope that you will see
That life has given us the love
that I gave you abundantly ~

My darling, this is my gift
until the end of time,
That you will always know the love
of my sweet Valentine.

"I wrote this poem for my husband for Valentine's Day, which has not long arrived in our world here.   This poem represents the delicacy and fragility of the treasured gift of love ~ which is the spoken gift written about here.   So many people take it for granted, and so few realise its true worth....that which is far greater than anything money could ever buy!   The beauty of love is given as a gift to so money on this day of love, but how many truly give themselves completely in a sacrificial and unconditional love for our husbands, wives or partners?   How many appreciate the fullness and beauty of a special love shared between a husband and wife?   How many trust our hearts with another, particuarly those familar with the pain of betrayal or rejection?   It isn't easy, no.   But in this poem, I am reminding my husband to take special care of my heart and my love for him, and in doing so he is making me feel appreciated....and I can be a better wife to him when I know how much he appreciates and loves me.   Because all too often we forget just what our partners do for us; we forget that romance, that passion.   Not necessarily sex, but affection and romance in all its beauty.   And sometimes we need to be reminded of it.   Today is that day....Happy Valentine's Day.   May your dreams come true."
