Homer just loves getting visitors, provided they don't chase
him all over the place! Whether animal or human, he loves to play, play, play.
He can also be very shy and skittish around new people or animals, but once
he gets to know them, he's in love! :-)
That's my girlfriend Jackie's little boy, Frankie. He was not
quite 2 and Homer was not quite 6 months. My neighbor, who Homer knows as "Aunt
Nancy". And in that last picture, he is snuggling with my ex-boyfriend, Dave.
Some more Aunt Nancy. He doesn't mind having his toes played with. They are like
buttery-soft leather. And Auntie Vicki, of the infamous "hat" quotation. LOL
These are my sister's cats, Cricket and Flip. I watched them for her before she moved to California. Cricket was being pretty non-sociable, but Flip and Homer got along pretty well. Flip occasionally acted like a mean big brother and would pick on Homer. Homer, like most younger siblings, took it in stride, and would give as much back as he could get away with. LOL Finally, I threw a toy into an empty box, which grabbed Cricket's attention, and after that, all three would play together.
When my sister moved back, I watched the cats again for a few
days, and they still got along just fine. For Thanksgiving, 2002, I took Homer
over to their house, and Homer just disappeared into a corner, trembling and
drooling. I guess it was okay when they were on his turf, and only then.
