Summary: What if things had gone differently at the end of Return of the Jedi and Vader hadn't died?

Notes: 1) Luke and Leia are not twins in this story, Leia really is the daughter of Bail Organa.
2) There is a second version of this story because, when I submitted it for inclusion in the Skywalker Family fanzine "I Care," the editor, Anne Marie Gazzolo, suggested that we update it to include the information learned in The Phantom Menace into the story (ie. when Anakin thinks of 'his wife' have him thinking of 'Padmé' instead). The changes made range from a few word alterations to big changes in the actual events themselves (ie. Anakin is a part of the talks that decide his future). For those of you who have already read the original version of the story and would just like to read the changes, I have highlighted them by using a color code system. The parts to which only minor changes were made are in this purple with any important changes (ie. changes other than word choice or rearrangement of sentences) in green. The part in which we so completely changed, added or updated the story that to point out the specific changes is impossible, is in dark blue. Then, Anne Marie also wanted to add an altered version of my short fan fic "Cheaters" to the end of the story. That has been added and is in red and contains some of the best (in my opinion) changes that have been made.
