25 May 2007 - Hello everyone.
The End!
Yes, that's right, today I post the LAST chunk of Dynasty! That's it, there is no more after this (although I have imagined what may happen). After nearly a year of me posting chunks, those of you who elected to read the fic have finally reached the end of your journey. I really hope that you enjoyed the tale Rebecca and I took you on and I thank you for taking the time to read such a monster of a fic. I'd especially like to thank those faithful readers who took the time to review often, it has been greatly appreciated!
Ironically enough, I am able to give you the last chunk of Dynasty in style as two artists have recently sent me their illustrations for key points in the fic. First comes a stunning, full color drawing from the talented C. E. Welman. She has chosen to illustrate the part of the fic where Luke shows Anjaleen the Force vision of what their wedding will look like by showing Anjaleen in her wedding outfit. The second illo is by Sam_77 and shows the ever so popular scene where Luke finally took his revenge on Raphael!
Also, I'd like to state that while the fic is now officially at an end, it isn't the end for Dynasty related updates as I have been promised at least one more drawing and potentially several more after that. So check back for more gorgeous illustrations (since these aren't actually written parts of the fic, I won't be able to announce these updates on other sites which host my fic!).
I recently moved my Harry Potter website, so that link has been updated in the Site section.
18 May 2007 - Hello everyone.
I'm sorry that I missed the past two scheduled updates for Dynasty, but I had limited internet access at best. I was told there was broadband at the place I was moving into, but then the tenant who was leaving learned it was cheaper to take the account with him than to get a new one at his new place so he took it with him without warning me and hence I was left internetless. Sorry, but it was beyond my control!
The next chunk of Dynasty is now online, though, so enjoy as there is only one more to come after this! I will warn you now that we skip quite some time between the current chunk and the next one.
Coming in the final chunk: Five years after the end of the Rebellion, the Empire has settled into peace and is preparing to celebrate the anniversary of the Alliance's destruction. Death and birth have altered the face of the Royal Family but they, like all their friends and acquaintances, continue on in a galaxy forever changed. Yet, despite the differences, certain things about Luke and the Imperial dynastic family will never change...

27 April 2007 - Hello everyone.
As you may already have noticed, I have added a PayPal donation button to the Other box below the Site Navigation table on the right. This is because this site is hosted on a paid account and I have been thinking of ways to meet this cost. I would rather avoid resorting to adding adds to the site and figured I'd try this route first and see what happens. Any money donated will only be used to meet the costs of the site and not for anything else.
Now, on to the fun stuff:
I have added the next chunk of Dynasty. This is the third-to-last chunk of this fic! I can't believe that as it seems like only yesterday I started posting it instead of nearly a year ago (yes, a year, I started posting it on the 11th of June, 2006)!
In next week's chunk: Prince Vader has an unexpected problem with the Executor due to the amount of Rebel hunting he has been doing with Mothma's list. After making a crucial capture he is also able to be gain valuable information that could spell the end for the Alliance... and something that can allow Luke to avenge Sasha and Randolf's deaths. Anjaleen starts to recover even as Mothma and Rieekan realize they are in serious trouble. Palpatine then gets an opportunity to ensure that Luke doesn't continue to associate with a lowly Admiral forever...
The site history record found in the Site section was also updated.
20 April 2007 - Hello everyone.
Dynasty has been updated with the 42nd chunk.
In next week's chunk: Luke and Vader set their plan against the Rebels into motion, with some unexpected results. One part of the preparations for the attack on the Rebels cause Sean and Nathaniel to catch a tiny glimpse of the old Luke and what he could have been... an insight they can hardly believe. Anjaleen meanwhile returns home and puts on an act when Palpatine's conditions starts to worsen and Luke needs an excuse to remain close by...
The Webmistress page in the Site section has also been updated with the banner for 3695.
14 April 2007 - Hello everyone.
Sorry I'm late, but the next chunk of Dynasty is now online.
For next week: Mothma and Rieekan confront Ragorsh over his actions but are unprepared for the backup plans he has already implemented in anticipation of their actions. Luke continues to try and console Anjaleen while they travel to her home system for the funerals. Vess' fate is decided even as Luke and Vader discover a way to use the internal split within the Alliance to their advantage...
6 April 2007 - Hello everyone.
The next chunk of Dynasty has now been added. Only five more to go!
In next week's chunk: Seeing Nastalia with her daughter makes Anjaleen yearn for a child of her own. Randolf and Sasha return home to their system for a short vacation much to the exasperation of the guards assigned to protect them. General Ragorsh sets things into motion, sending off a strike team to hit certain members of the Royal Family regardless of civilian casualties...
Recently I have also been drawn into a new fandom, namely that of the FBI/math TV show Numb3rs, and I have just started writing fan fiction for it. Therefore I have created a new site called 3695 (read: three six nine five) to host all my N3 fic and anything else related to that fandom. Please let me know what you think of it if you check it out.
The Site section and Webmistress page have also both been updated.
30 March 2007 - Hello everyone.
Dynasty has been updated with its next chunk. In this one Luke defies his father and suffers the consequences of doing so!
Coming up next week: The split in the Alliance continues to grow as General Ragorsh decides to take matters into his own hands. Palpatine finally announces the succession of the Imperial throne while at the same time using some of the courtiers to leak out yet another of their family secrets. Ra'chealla receives some horrible news while Luke gets a Force warning he can't decipher...
I have also added two new links to the Links page of the Hyperspace section. Both sites have only just started up recently and so are in their beginning stages. The first is dedicated to Han Solo while the second site is an Imperial point of view of the Rebellion.
24 March 2007 - Hello everyone.
First off I'd like to apologize for missing last week's scheduled update and being late this week. Things got pretty hectic here. Unfortunately this may not be the end of the interruptions. Next week's update and that of the week after should happen on schedule but I don't know about the ones after that. The thing is I'm going to be moving to the UK the second week of April (from Belgium) and I don't know yet if I'll have internet access when I arrive or if it'll be delayed a bit. So I'd like to apologize in advance if I can't update on schedule then.
On to the good news, I have now added the next chunk of Dynasty to the site.
In the next chunk: The rift among the Alliance Council members continues to grow as more and more disagreements arise over acceptable courses of action. Nastalia has some great news to share that causes Luke to visit Nathaniel on his Star Destroyer. Meanwhile anti-Sith sentiments fester in court ultimately forcing Luke to chose between obeying his father or defying him to undertake the more sensible course of action and risk punishment...
The Story Art section of the Art Gallery has also been updated with two gorgeous drawings by Shandra. Both were created for Dynasty, though they depict potential future scenes, one each of Luke and Anjaleen with their son. Check them out and let Shandra know what you think of them!
9 March 2007 - Hello everyone.
The next chunk of Dynasty is now online. This chunk contains the second wedding of the fic, namely Luke's wedding! I hope everyone likes it.
Coming next week: The reception takes place as the ramifications of the wedding's revelation ripple across the galaxy from the horrified courtiers all the way to the equally horrified Alliance. After the reception, Luke's plan to avoid reporters from following him and Anja on their honeymoon is put into effect...
Unfortunately the art update that I'd hoped would happen this week isn't too be. Sorry. Perhaps next week.
2 March 2007 - Hello everyone.
Dynasty has been updated with the latest chunk.
In the 37th chunk: Nathaniel and Grand Moff Bel-Zessa discuss the latest rumor and make plans on how to act should the information prove to be true. Meanwhile, Randolf, determined not to be made a fool of before the entire court, demands answers.
The day of Luke and Anjaleen's wedding finally arrives, along with all of its revelations and secrets! The grandiose celebration does stir up some unexpected trouble along with all of the planned chaos...
Next week there should also be two new gorgeous additions to the Art Gallery. I'd like to thank everyone who has been sending in illustrations, it's greatly appreciated!!!
23 February 2007 - Hello everyone.
The 35th chunk of Dynasty has been posted. There are now only ten chunks to go! This is the final stretch.
Next week: The images of the documentary lead to shocking discoveries for various members of the Alliance Council that threaten to cause an irreparable rift. Meanwhile the preparations for the wedding continue and Nathaniel decides that Luke should enjoy an age-old tradition despite the restrictions of court. Vladimir decides to make his move after which Luke implements his grandfather's plan to the utmost horror of the courtiers...
16 February 2007 - Hello everyone.
The 34th chunk of Dynasty is now online.
Also new this week is another gorgeous illustration for Dynasty, as I promised last week. This one was created by Elisabeth and has been added to the Story Art section of the Art Gallery. It shows Anjaleen as she watches Luke kill Raphael in chunk 32.
Coming in next week's chunk: Luke finally lets Buchanan off the hook even as he manages to tighten his political web, a fact not lost on Ra'chealla. As Luke continues to fight the Rebels, he is forced to deal with reporters on the scene when it is decided that the people should see what is really going on. This has unexpected results and causes the rift between Skywalker and Vader to grow...
9 February 2007 - Hello everyone.
Dynasty has been updated with the next chunk.
Next week or the week after should also see the addition of another piece of fan art to the Story Art section of the Art Gallery. A reader has sent me a beautiful drawing of Anjaleen and it shall be added as soon as the details for posting it are arranged.
In next week's chunk: Palpatine and Vader get involved in Luke's political games and thicken the plot. Meanwhile Sean Trussell has reached a decision in regards to Luke's offer only to instantly learn first hand what it means to be associated with a Sith! As all of this is happening, Anjaleen begins to plan her wedding and the Rebels become increasingly desperate as Luke's new abilities are used in the war against them...
2 February 2007 - Hello everyone.
The next chunk of Dynasty has now been added.
In next week's chunk: The Winiterures slowly come to realize what it means for their daughter to be engaged to a Sith Lord as Anjaleen has her first real meeting with Palpatine and learns just who he truly is. Luke indirectly confronts Ra'chealla even as the top courtiers start to explore what Luke's newly revealed status means about his relationship with Darth Vader and how they can use it to their advantage...
26 January 2007 - Hello everyone.
Dynasty has been updated with the addition of the 31st chunk. This chunk is a little shorter than most, but then, the last few have been longer than the average.
Coming up next week: As soon as Luke and Anjaleen enter one of the main court rooms, Raphael pounces, verbally assaulting Luke. The outcome of the confrontation stuns the audience starting up another round of gossip, plotting and political maneuvering. Ra'chealla meanwhile flies into a rage upon realizing that Anjaleen is engaged to Luke but takes comfort in the fact that she'll be dead by morning.
Soon, Vader and Luke start a carefully orchestrated dance in order to solidify Luke's new status while Garret contacts his cousin...
19 January 2007 - Hello everyone.
The next chunk of Dynasty has been added to the site. This chunk contains the much anticipated 'tea with Vader' scene. I hope you like it!
In the next chunk: Rumors of Luke's abilities start to reach Coruscant, but not before Raphael takes matters into his own hands... confronting Luke at court with shocking consequences. At the same court session, Ra'chealla's assassin strikes again after having penetrated Palace security...
12 January 2007 - Hello everyone.
As usual, Dynasty has been updated.
In next week's chunk: During the wedding reception, the Rebel Commander breaks calling Luke away from the festivities to hunt just as Anjaleen receives a telling charm that will reveal more of Luke's past to her. Luke and Anjaleen then return to Coruscant where the news of their engagement spreads like wildfire to much astonishment, anger and dismay. Randolf and Anjaleen head to Vader's Castle for tea even as Raphael decides to take action...
5 January 2007 - Hello everyone.
I hope that everyone had a Happy New Year!
Dynasty has been updated as scheduled and this chunk contains more of the action some of you have been longing for.
Also new with this update is another beautiful color illustration by Res as I promised. This drawing, Second Encounter, does not illustrate the latest chunk of Dynasty, but rather chunk 10, the chunk where Wedge and Biggs were executed. The drawing is of Anjaleen as Luke sees her for the second time and it has been added to the Story Art section of the Art Gallery as usual with a link to it from the part of the chunk that it illustrates.
In next week's chunk: Nastalia's other brother arrives and the four couples relax while the interrogation of the captured Rebels continues. The Alliance High Council starts to worry about their AWOL cells and argue over what to do, widening rifts between them. The wedding also takes place...
29 December 2006 - Hello everyone.
Sorry that I missed the update scheduled for last week, but there was an unexpected death in the family and between that and Christmas, I simply didn't have the time to update as planned. Sorry.
Today, however, I updated Dynasty and this chunk has the part which so many of you have been asking me about. Namely the proposal and Anjaleen's answer!
This chunk is also beautifully illustrated by the talented Zawiah who did a gorgeous drawing of Nathaniel and Nastalia. It has been added to the Story Art section of the Art Gallery as usual and there is a link to it from the part of the chunk that it illustrates.
In next week's chunk: As Luke and Nathaniel chase after the Rebels in an attempt to recover the Jedi holocron, Nathaniel ends up in the line of fire. Luke manages to capture a Rebels alive in order to learn of the cell's whereabouts so that he can start hunting them down even as the Rebels do all they can to ensure their safety and to alert the Alliance to the fact that Luke is a Sith. When Nastalia's brothers arrive they wonder why their father is following Luke's orders even as Mothma wonders whether Jasno's cell managed to recover the holocron...
Also, next week there will be another lovely color drawing by the talented Res to illustrate Anjaleen as Luke saw her for the first time during the execution ceremony.
15 December 2006 - Hello everyone.
First off, sorry for the late update, but today was a busy day! Anyway, I updated Dynasty as usual. I hope you like it as the action picks up a little again.
Teaser for next week's chunk: After dinner, Luke finally asks Anjaleen to marry him. Meanwhile the Rebels plan their attack on the museum and soon the day of the attack and dance arrives...

Dynasty has been updated with the 25th chunk of the fic. This one's a little slower but things pick up again next week!
Teaser for next week's chunk: Luke makes an unexpected and startling discovery in the museum; an artifact whose existence will force a local Rebel cell into action in order to retrieve it before the artifact is taken away by Luke. Unaware of the existence of the Rebel presence or their plans, Luke and Anjaleen relax with their friends even as Luke arranges to take Anjaleen out for dinner so that he can propose to her.
1 December 2006 - Hello everyone.
The 24th chunk of Dynasty has been added.
Teaser for next week's chunk: As Luke and Anjaleen prepare to leave early, a furious Raphael confronts Randolf in an attempt to get him to intervene on his behalf. Once on Zessa, Luke wastes no time trying to come up with the best way to ask Anjaleen as the two of them relax at the Bel-Zessa home with their friends.
24 November 2006 - Hello everyone.
Dynasty has been updated with the 23rd chunk.
Next week in Dynasty: As Ra'chealla faces her father, the assassin she hired attempts to do his job, unaware that Luke's Force abilities will hinder him in ways he can't even imagine. Palpatine and Vader come to a decision regarding Anjaleen even as the evening forces Luke to fully confront his feelings regarding her. Major Garret Ravenell must also face the fact that it is nearly impossible for one adjunct to keep up with two Sith...
The Site Navigation panel (to the right) has been reorganized as it was really starting to get too long. I haven't removed any of the site sections, simply rearranged them. The Family Trees can now be found in the Art Gallery, the Awards in the Site section (which has also been updated) and, finally, the Links, Webrings, Zines and Memberships pages have been merged as subdivisions of the new Hyperspace section.
17 November 2006 - Hello everyone.
The chunk of Dynasty that I added today marks the halfway point of this novel fic. The scene in Nastalia's Coruscant home towards the end of this chunk was where Rebecca and I would have split the story when it seemed like we would have to cut the fic in two at one point. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been reading and reviewing, it is really appreciated! I hope you like the second half of the story as much as the first half.
The teaser for next week's chunk is: Luke steps up his relationship with Anjaleen setting in motion several chains of events even as Anjaleen tries to deal with Ra'chealla's threat. Raphael, meanwhile, gets more and more frustrated while Randolf Winiterure grows increasingly intrigued with Luke and his pull with the Emperor...
The Art Gallery has been subdivided into several sections as it was getting too cluttered the way it was. The existing artwork is now found in one of the three new sections. In addition, there is a new illustration by Merrilee LaVilla. The piece is called Young Luke and was created for my fic Sweet Revenge.

Dynasty has been updated with the 21st chunk as scheduled. I must admit that I'm surprised that I've been able to keep to the schedule so well. Let's hope it continues!
The teaser for the next chunk: Tensions between Luke and Raphael escalate even as Buchanan decides that he has had enough of Luke seeing Ra'chealla and takes decisive action. Meanwhile Palpatine and Vader ponder Luke's revelation about the Force and Anjaleen, coming to some unexpected conclusions with the aid of the Force. On top of everything else, Nastalia and Nathaniel decide to get involved in some plots of their own...
The Art Gallery has been updated with a new illustration sent in by reader Merrilee LaVilla. The piece is called Alive Only and was created for my fic WANTED.
3 November 2006 - Hello everyone.
The next chunk of Dynasty has been added. Sorry for the cliffhanger last time, but I couldn't help myself! However, in compensation, this chunk is longer than normal. I hope you enjoy the rest of the party and everything else that happens in this chunk as there is quite a lot going on as those of you who read the teaser last week know. We start to leave some old threads behind even as we pick up new ones. When Rebecca and I originally tossed the idea for this fic around we had thought that the party would be near the end of the story! As you can see, that definitely didn't end up being the case, though we are rapidly approaching the halfway point of the fic (this chunk is number 20 of 45).
The teaser for the next chunk: Vader returns home to confront Luke about what happened between him and Anjaleen the night of the party only to be stunned by Luke's explanation. Meanwhile Leia lets slip to Garret the truth about her father's health, before realizing Vader will do anything to keep that information secret.

In addition, Dark vs Light has also been given the wonderful Luke/Vader relationship award by Naturally They Became Heroes. This is the first award ever given by this site, so thank you, I'm really honored!

27 October 2006 - Hello everyone.
Wow, we're the last Friday of October already! First off, I want to wish everyone a Happy Halloween for next week. Secondly, I'd like to apologize that this update is several hours later than normal. There were some things I had to do today and then, since its the weekend before Halloween, my sister's school held its trick or treat event today and I just had to watch the little kids in their costumes. They're so adorable!
Anyway... I have added the next chunk of Dynasty. As I mentioned last week, this chunk is illustrated. The talented Tina Ye has created a lovely color drawing of Anjaleen for the last scene of this chunk. It is called Garden Interlude and you can look at it now, if you wish, as it won't spoil anything. It has been added to the Art Gallery.
Please, please, provide Tina with some feedback if you look at it. Thanks!
The teaser for the next chunk is: Ra'chealla, having arrived in time to see Luke and Anjaleen's kiss, becomes enraged and swiftly informs Raphael before plotting to get Luke for herself. Meanwhile the dance winds down and Luke receives birthday gifts from his father and grandfather. Though the party is over, the repercussions of the faithful meeting at the fountain continue to spell trouble for both Luke and Anjaleen as neither Ra'chealla nor Raphael are willing to let it go. And that is before the Emperor and Vader start to get wind of what happened...
20 October 2006 - Hello everyone.
As usual, the next chunk of Dynasty has been added. Next week's chunk will be illustrated with one of the two drawings seen on the cover of the fic (though there is more to it than can be seen there).
The teaser for the 19th chunk is: As the party continues, Luke is unable to stop himself from getting involved in more political games when Leia helps him realize exactly what he feels for Anjaleen. Grand Moff Bel-Zessa attempts to talk to MacNelly about his intentions regarding his daughter even as they puzzle over the mystery that is Skywalker after learning some startling information. Ra'chealla also continues to defy her father...
13 October 2006 - Hello everyone.
The next chunk of Dynasty has been added.
The teaser for the next chunk is: Both the Empire and the Alliance deal with the aftermath of the failed rescue mission while Raphael moves in on Anjaleen. Nathaniel and Nastalia begin to work out where they stand with each other and Leia is shown that her father and brother still haven't told her everything.
The evening of Luke's birthday party also arrives...

6 October 2006 - Hello everyone.
For those of you who haven't visited the site since last Friday, check below as there was an update since then with the start of a new story.
Today I added the 16th chunk of Dynasty, which brings us ever closer to the halfway point of the fic! It also brings us that much closer to the next illustrated chunk, which is number 19.
The teaser for the next chunk is: Admiral MacNelly must explain the fate of the missing Star Destroyers and try to justify his actions while the Alliance rescue team penetrates the defenses of Vader's Castle. A ripple in the Force warns Luke and Vader, but will it be in time to prevent Leia from making yet another escape from Imperial custody?

4 October 2006 - Hello everyone.
Yes, I know, more than one update a week, something must be wrong with me!
The reason for this update is because I recently started a new fic and the first part of it is ready. It's a Canon story called Decoding Enigma. As usual, it is Luke centric and focuses on his relationship with Vader though Wedge and Leia also play big roles. I hope you enjoy it and I shall have the next part online as soon as I can. I'm aiming for five parts at the moment but I no clue whether that will work.
I know this next isn't Star Wars related, but as a huge Stargate: SG-1 I simply must do what I can for the campaign. If you love the series and don't want to see it die, visit the site below!

Chunk 15 of Dynasty is now online.
The teaser for chunk 16 is: Preparations for both Luke's birthday party and Leia's rescue both continue, though neither without complications. Meanwhile the return of an Imperial expedition believed to be lost causes unexpected political turmoil for the Empire as well as personal turmoil for Nastalia who finally dares to hope once more...
Two versions of a new wallpaper have been added to the Art Gallery. As promised, they are Original Trilogy themed, featuring Luke and Leia.
22 September 2006 - Hello everyone.
Well, another Friday, another chunk. Chunk 14 of Dynasty is now online. As I mentioned last week, this chunk is illustrated and the drawing has been added to the Art Gallery and a link to it is posted in the chunk at the part that it illustrates.
The teaser for the next chunk is: Raphael moves in on Anjaleen as the Rebels receive word that Leia is both alive and Vader's prisoner. Though Leia still refuses her father's offer, plans for Luke's birthday party continue to the delight and dismay of various members of the Imperial court...
In addition to the illo, the Art Gallery has also been updated with a new wallpaper. It is a prequel themed one featuring all three of Naboo's queens seen in the movies. The next wallpaper will be Original Trilogy oriented, I promise.
Dark vs Light has won another award from Art Space 2000 which has been added to the Awards section.
A new link has been added to the Links section. It is leads to a site dedicated to Luke and Anakin Skywalker.
15 September 2006 - Hello everyone.
Dynasty has been updated on schedule again as usual (I'm actually quite glad with how well this has worked out so far!). A part of next week's chunk has been illustrated so that drawing will come online next Friday, though the update will occur quite a bit later in the day than normal. Sorry.
The teaser for that chunk is: Luke and Vader have one of their first arguments while Leia struggles to decide whether or not to believe what she's been told. Tensions quickly escalate between the twins even as Luke must deal with a persistent court lady who has taken a liking to him. Meanwhile the Bothan clan decides what to do with the information its spy has gathered...
The Art Gallery has been updated with a new wallpaper that I created. It is another prequel themed one featuring Padmé Amidala Naberrie and all but one of her handmaidens (I couldn't get a photo of the last one).
Dark vs Light has won another award from Empy Awards which has been added to the Awards section.
I have joined a new fanlisting, one devoted to the relationship between Padmé, Leia and Luke called Feelings. The button has been added to the Memberships page.
Finally, I have also joined a new Webring devoted to Original Characters in the Star Wars universe. This is, of course, due to the fic Dynasty. My site should be approved shortly, but I believe that you can already surf the ring should you wish to do so.
8 September 2006 - Hello everyone.
As you noticed surfing in, there have been some changes to the site. First off, I made the move from a free Geocities account to a paid one so there is now more space, more data transfer (yes!), no sidebar ads and more.
As a result of the new options I now have, I have changed the site a bit. I created the Index page you all saw and I added a new section called Site. This section is one I've been meaning to add for a while now but kept putting off. It contains the entire history of Dark vs Light (since before it was even called that!) as well as a Webmistress page for anyone one who's interested in who I am. The Fan Fiction section has also been renamed the Library, though the link hasn't changed.
The biggest change, however, is that Dynasty is now hosted on this site instead of at a different one. What this means is that if you had links directly to the fic (which I really you rather didn't do) that they won't work anymore. I have left all of the pages up with a note forwarding people here, but just know to update any bookmarks you may have.
Now that's taken care off, on to the regular updates. One of the readers of Dynasty was inspired by the fic to do a gorgeous piece of concept art on it. Basically, Res designed one of Anjaleen's court dresses from the last chunk and has allowed me to host it in the Art Gallery. The drawing is for Anjaleen's maroon & purple dress (if you can't remember which one it was, I've added a link to the drawing from the chunk itself).
As usual, the next chunk of Dynasty (the 12th!) has also been posted online.
The teaser for next week: Luke decides to take no risks given his sister's escapist talents and has her sent straight to Coruscant even while he remains to try and flush out the remaining Rebels. Mon Mothma and the Alliance Council try to decide what to do while Vader sees his daughter for the first time since learning the truth of their relationship...
I have also added to the Links page, though I will warn you now that neither site seems to be updated anymore. The reason I added them is because the sites, though abandoned, still contain good and worthwhile information. The first is dedicated to Rogue Squadron while the second one contains a couple hundred links to fan fiction sites within the fandom.
1 September 2006 - Hello everyone.
Here is the next chunk of Dynasty. As promised the last time, this chunk takes us in a slightly different direction than before. We now focus more on the Imperial court and all of its political repercussions. The names do come hard and fast in this chunk, but don't worry, the important characters will quickly become clear.
The teaser for next week: Luke goes on his first solo mission without Vader ... on the Star Destroyer with General Hors. During the course of the mission Luke discovers the identity of the man who started the rumors about him and his father even as he himself creates new ones when he discovers the identity of the Rebel leader in charge of the base...
Also, I once again apologize that the site has been unavailable at times. This is due to the fact that I keep exceeding my hourly data transfer limit due to the fact that this is site is hosted on a free Geocities account. I plan on upgrading to a paid account to avoid this, but it could take a few days to do so as I want to make a few changes along with the upgrade. Thanks for your patience.
25 August 2006 - Hello everyone.
Wow, is it the last Friday of August already? If there's one thing posting a fic in regularly spaced updated does, it is make you aware of how fast time flies!
Anyway, the next chunk of Dynasty is now online. This chunk is a big turning point in the fic. Here we leave behind several big threads and move on towards the more political storyline that runs throughout the rest of the story. I'd also like to apologize for the delay of many hours in posting it but, what can I say?, real life got in the way. (No, I did not intend to rhyme there.)
The teaser for next week: Luke is finally allowed to attend court and must deal with its courtiers (... and their daughters) even as his regular training and duties continue.
On a Dynasty related topic, I recently received a gorgeous art cookie (a fan created work based on a fan fic) for the story. It has been hosted in the mailing list archives if you would like to see it.
Since I was rushed to get this update together, I didn't have the time to change anything else except to add one new link to the Links section.
18 August 2006 - Hello everyone.
The next chunk of Dynasty is now online. In this one some original characters from the start of the fic come back (though only briefly) and the action really picks up with the first of several assassination attempts!
As for what'll occur next week, here is the teaser: Luke confronts Biggs one-on-one in an attempt to put his remaining doubts to rest before the execution ceremony. The Force tingles for Luke once more and the Executor is also finally finished.
The day of Luke's first court appearance begins to draw very near...
I have created another wallpaper called Rogue Squadron: Hoth featuring Luke and all the Rogues for whom there were actors in The Empire Strikes Back. It has been added to the Art Gallery. If anyone knows of any sites where I can get large, high-quality photos of the original trilogy, please let me know as I'm not finding any which means my OT wallpaper options are severely limited. August 11, 2006 - Hello everyone.
Here is the next chunk of Dynasty as promised. This one is a little shorter than the previous ones (I did say an average of 12 pages per chunk and all of the previous chunks have been well over that!) but I hope you like it nonetheless as the plot definitely thickens as new complications arise.
For those of you read them, here is the teaser for the next chunk: Luke must deal with Princess Organa's escape even as he struggles with the fact that she is his twin sister. Then he must reveal the truth to his father while, unbeknownst to either of them, Galaxy Manufacturing has decided that Vader's new legislation must be prevented from becoming law.
At all costs...
I have also been named the Royal of the Month by the Realm of Royalty for August and Dark vs Light has also won an award from Royal Crest. Both awards have been added to the Awards section.
A new link to a lovely Padmé Amidala site has also been added to the Links section. If anyone knows any good Original Trilogy sites that don't have (or have very little) EU material, please let me know about them as I'm not really finding any!
August 6, 2006 - Emergency Update
Those of you trying to access this site over the past few days may have noticed that it hasn't always been available. This, unfortunately, is due to the fact that the site has, repeatedly, exceeded its allowed data transfer (this site is hosted on a free Geocities account and thus has limited data transfer)!
As a result of this, I have moved the two wallpapers I recently added offsite to a photobucket account in an effort to curb the amount of data that gets transfered when people visit the site. I'm sincerely hoping that it was the viewing of the wallpapers that caused the site to exceed its data transfer limit so often lately.
If this isn't the case and you find that the site continues to be sporadically unavailble, please let me know and I shall look into other options to find a solution so that the site remains up constantly.
August 4, 2006 - Hello everyone.
Well, the next chunk of Dynasty is here as scheduled. What makes this chunk different from all of the previous chunks is that this one is ILLUSTRATED!!! The talented Zawiah, who did the lovely Clean Han, Dirty Leia drawing, has done several illustrations for this fic as well, the first of which is now up in the Art Gallery. I do recommend, however, that you don't look at it until you've read the chunk as it will spoil a part of it. As usual, please let Zawiah know what you think of the drawing and check out her website if you're interested in seeing more of her work (I will warn you now, though, that its undergoing heavy reconstruction at the moment!).
As before, here is a little teaser for the following chunk: The invasion of the Rebel base continues and soon Luke is face-to-face with his former best friend. Even as both of them struggle to deal with the consequences of that meeting, Luke continues to be plagued by an elusive ripple in the Force that his father cannot detect. Only now he's managed to narrow down its source to a certain Rebel princess...
