PARADISE LOST/ PARADISE FOUND

PARADISE LOST/ PARADISE FOUND
If you are a Christian, you are taught that in the beginning Adam and Eve were living in a perfect paradisical world, and that God lived here with them. Then Adam was seduced by Eve in the garden, he fell for the seduction, and God was not pleased. He then pronounced a sentence of death upon the world. From that time until the flood, man was limited to at most, a 1000 year lifespan. But when God saw the decadence of the human race, he was tempted to put an end to all life on earth. But because of the rightousness of one man, Noah, he gave us a second chance, but with a much shorter lifespan, and a much less pleasant environment to live in. Then the flood came upon the earth, as if a protective layer of our atmosphere descended, and was washed out. This layer up to that time gave the earth a perfect climate.
The heat of the sun was universally distributed around the entire world, giving the polar regions and the equator the same perfect 72 degree temperature, day and night. This protective water canopy made the world appear much different than the world we know today. Imagine the most beautiful sunset magnified 10 times, with the sun giving off an amazingly beautiful golden glow, and that was the appearance of the sky by day. By night, the stars appeared 10 times brighter than they do now, and this canopy also made them glow with all the colors of the rainbow spectrum. It also blocked out all ultraviolet radiation, made all vegetation edible and delicious. The people were much taller. Their features were much more attractive. Their bodies were youthful, lean, and muscular, more so than the greatest athlete of today. Obesity, the sicknesses and ravages of age that we consider normal today, were unheard of. The animals were all attractive, vegetarian, well mannered, and pleasant to be around.
That all changed after the flood. Following the flood, the human lifespan was limited to approximatly 120 years, at most. The environment became much more harsh, with extremes of heat and cold, and harsh and violent weather. Food was hard to come by, and hard to grow. The animals became less attractive, more vicious, eating each other, and more sickly. The appearance of the sky became much more bland, with only brief flashes of it's former magnificance. The people became shells of their former selves, struggling with this new, vastly more unpleasant world, and dealing with sickness and misery they had never known before. This was all done to help put an end the human race's contemptous and decadent attitudes, and bring about a state of humility and repentance. Of course with our modern conveniences we try to compensate for this, but truly, what a pathetic attempt it is.
As the last days approach, we will be witnessing the hearts of people becoming even more perverse, the climate conditions becoming even more extreme, an upsurge in earthquakes, famines, wars, and more chaos in general. Just when it seems we will self destruct, Christ will return. Along with his return, as he descends through our atmosphere, the water canopy will reappear over the entire earth. The paradisical state that has been gone for so long will return, because the curse will have finally been lifted.
