Sadly she passed away on October 18, 1999.
She was apart of my life for ten years and found a special place in the heart of everyone who met her.
It was only in the last year of her life that her health began to fail her when she developed diabetes and went blind as a result of it. It never slowed her down and she continued to be a loving and loyal pet.
She wanted to be anywhere I was.
She loved car rides.
She loved to swim in her own little paddling pool.
She loved carrots and bananas as her favourite snacks.
She loved to play fetch, cuddle, go hunting and chase birds.
She didn't like going to the vet.
She didn't like when anyone sat in her part of the loveseat.
She didn't like taking medicine, but when she had to it had to be hidden in a piece of cheese.
She learned the words walk, car ride and lets go hunting....really fast.
She knew how to speak, shake a paw or high five, and to fetch although she didnt always like to give what she fetched back :0)
She really enjoyed hunting and was really good at retrieving.
She loved to chase any bird or cat that got to close to her place in the yard, actually anywhere in the yard.
Our first Christmas with her we found out just how much she liked the brightly coloured packages when she unwrapped them all while we were at work.....
