Play Dough (Baked) 2 cups flour 1/2 cup salt 3/4 cups water *This is one you can bake to dry then it can be painted and varnished. Mix salt in warm water until partly dissolved, then add flour.  Knead for 5 to 10 minutes, until satiny smooth.  Keep in covered  container or ziploc bags.  Air dry or bake on cookie sheet at 300 for one hour.
