What's Happening This Month:
February 2001
During the beginning of February we will be talking about Groundhogs Day and Shadows.  We will be predicting whether the groundhog will see his shadow and writing in our journals about our predictions.  There will be many great art projects and science experiments for us to explore while we talk about shadows.

Starting on February 5th and continuing until the end of the month  Dinosaurs will be taking over our classroom!  Science, art, social studies, and language arts will combine as we discover dinos together.  We will go on a fossil dig and we will have a dino nest in our classroom among many other fun things!  Check the monthly units for the Dinosaur Unit that will be  coming soon!

We will be celebrating the 100th day of school on February 14th along with Valentine's Day. To help us celebrate each child will make a collection of 100 things to bring to school.  For more information on the collection please

Our classroom web page will continue to grow this month!  Expected additions will include:

Password protected parent pages: these pages will include school news, important information, and a photo album.  This section of the web site will  be accessible to classroom parents and valley brook staff.

New Units will be added: Dinosaurs, Snow and Winter Weather, and February Take Home Projects
