Oviedo: Places of Interest

  • Santullano de los Prados: built in 9th century by Alfonso II. noted its frescoes.
  • Santa Maria Del Naranco: built between 842 and 850.

  • San Miguel de Lillo: built in 9th century as a royal chapel by Ramiro I.
• Cathedral: Alfonso II Plaza, built 1348, spire built 1556, holy chamber from 9th century.
• El Fontán: marketplace. traditional square with arcade.
• Campo San Francisco: park in the centre of the city. 60,000 square metres.
