Oviedo: Places of Interest
- Three Pre-Romanesque Churches: on the World Heritage List since 1985. 
- Santullano de los Prados: built in 9th century by Alfonso II. noted its frescoes.  
 - Santa Maria Del Naranco: built between 842 and 850.  
- palace & hunting lodge of Ramiro I
 - converted to church in 12th century.  
 
 - San Miguel de Lillo: built in 9th century as a royal chapel by Ramiro I.
 
 - Cathedral: Alfonso II Plaza, built 1348, spire built 1556, holy chamber from 9th century.
 - El Fontán: marketplace. traditional square with arcade. 
 - Campo San Francisco: park in the centre of the city.  60,000 square metres.
