Me, Myself, and I

Hmm, where to start? I'm Alley Cat. I have the nickname for multiple reasons, too many to really go into. What matters is I love the nickname very much and have used it for the past several years as a pen name of sorts. If I were to ever change the pen name, you can be sure that it would in some way involve the name Celeste, because I love it so.

Since the basic jest of introductions is out of the way, I can say that I am a High School Graduate. I graduated as a Magna Cum Lada, which would be the second best group in the class. I'll admit I deserved to be in the best considering half of the people in that group were there because they got all a's for taking only gym classes. I was also a National Honor's Society Member. I'm currently attending College and living at home, which I don't have a problem with.

My areas of interest in life would include arts. I like most arts, but my real love is in illustrations and sequential arts. My own art is heavily influenced by the Japanese culture, from both its animation and comic styles. I tend to read a lot of translated Japanese comics (Manga) and watch a lot of subtitled Anime. Favorite comics of mine would include Fushigi Yuugi, Bishojou Senshi Sailor Moon, erm... and most novels done by CLAMP. AS for Anime, I do love Fushigi Yuugi (only for the antagonists <_< boo Miaka-baka), Bishojou Senshi Sailor Moon (surprise!), and almost anything Megumi Ogata voices in.

Inspiration comes from the shows I watch, the things I read, friends, music. Especially music sung by Megumi Ogata (yes, I am obsessed). I suppose I should also mention I graduated on her birthday (ok, more than the normal obsessed).

What do I normally draw? Well, to put it rather bluntly girls and girl+girl relationships. I find boys rather uninteresting to draw. Their anatomy isn't as interesting as I feel the female's anatomy is. I also am very intrigued by the female+female relationship aspect. I'm intrigued by a boy+boy relationship is as well (and normal straight relationships), but I think it's more interesting to draw the women. I like to try and portray love of that kind as being very beautiful, as in any relationship. That's not to say I don't enjoy drawing a few naughty images as well.

Other random things about myself include that I'm unremarkably short at a height under 5 foot. I prefer to call myself vertically challenged. I'm absolutely terrified of spiders, to the point where seeing or hearing the word makes me shudder. I also have a terrible fear of driving and I don't have my license yet, although I'm trying very hard to get it.
