THE TEAM Actors: Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee Banner: Venus Films Director: Abbas-Mustan Location: Filmistan Studio, Mumbai THE STORY After the super-success of "Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega," the hit team of Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee team up once again for Director Duo Abbas-Mustan's "Chori Chori Chupke Chupke." In a marathon schedule of 14 ays, the film is fast heading towards completion. The story is that of a bar dancer named Madhubala (Preity Zinta). Her mind is full of money, money, money all the time. Salman Khan is married to Rani Mukherjee. They are left a will which states that unless the couple has a baby, they can't claim the property. But they find out that Rani can't conceive. That's when Salman Khan decides to ask Madhubala to be the surrogate mother. Of course, she agrees. On the sets, the camaraderie between Rani, Preity and Salman has to be seen to be believed. All three are extremely friendly and keep playing jokes and pranks on each other. The scene being canned on the day we visit is between Preity and Rani, when they first meet each other. Rani is telling Preity about her family. She doesn't know that Preity is a bar dancer. All along, Rani keeps calling Preity, "Pritam". They laugh and giggle like two schoolgirls, but they give their takes one after the other. Preity looks so slim... she's in danger of losing her dimples! Rani too has slimmed down and appears reed-thin. Both women are obviously thrilled by the comment, but they insist that they are still hogging at it. During lunch, it's obvious that they've not been lying. As Salman trots along on the sets, Preity and Rani are watching a sleazy dance number picturised on Preity a couple of days earlier. Preity goes red with embarrassment. "Look at me, wearing those cheap clothes and dancing like a slut," she screams. "I'll never be caught dead in those clothes ever." Rani keeps teasing her best friend, but when somebody tells her how well the two get along, she retorts on people eyeing their friendship, only to find the next headline: "Rani-Preity at War!" She bursts out laughing. Salman is sulking in a corner and both Rani and Preity hop across to him. He hands them his cigarette butt and ask them to stub it out. Then he lies on his back and asks Rani to press his back! All this while the two girls are chattering nonstop with him. We can't make out whether he's listening at all or just plain sleeping. |
