Hero (Salman Khan) is the hero.Rani is the Rani, oops the heroine, of the movie and she is Hero's best friend. Hero loves Rani but the latter loves her sapnon ka raja who later turns to be Arbaaz.
Hero gets killed by the villain (Shakti Kapoor) and turns into a ghost. Arbaaz gets injured and in a heart transplant gets Hero's love-ridden heart ! As a result ,he is the only person who can see and talk with Hero the ghost and he also falls in love with Rani.
Arbaaz falls in love with Rani because of the presence of Salman's heart which beats for Rani.
Hero is doomed as a ghost unless Shakti Kapoor is killed and Hero wants revenge.With the help of Arbaaz who is a cop ,they track down on the villain and in the end Arbaaz refuses to shoot him because if he does ,he knows that Hero will go away .But Shakti do get a bullet in the heart and Hero does get the opportunity for revenge (ghost against ghost) in his funny style of fight.
