An amazing fairy tale about a tall skelton man who lives in a wonderous holiday fantasy land (Halloween Town) named Jack Skelington. The other members of Halloween Town dub him the "Pumpkin King" and he is responsible for Halloween and all the scary things around the world. However, he is bored of this job because of those many years and nothing new happens. One day when he is walking through the Old Forest, he discovers a circle of trees with doors representing all of the holiday seasons. Jack instantly grows fond of the door shaped like a small tree with bright and colorful decorations on it, the Christmas door, and accidentally falls into it. Christmas Town is like nothing Jack has ever seen and changes how he sees the world. He wishes to tell the people of his own Halloween Town of Christmas Town and their "Sandy Claws". But, his fellow townspeople see something else... and so begins the clash of two holiday worlds, and the dark, romantic ventures Jack endevoures on.
