This greenscreen, from
Demon In The Bottle, directed by Randall Cook, shows some of the
problems we come across in low-budget films. Only one lamp was available to light the screen, so there was terrible
fall-off on the greens. Also, some earlier fx guy gave the curious advice to dress the puppeteers in red! As a
consequence, we had to do all kinds of multiple matting and rotoscoping to get the shot. The
final comp turned out OK, though. Randy himself did about half the comps for this
sequence, showing not only his skill and dedication to his craft, but how little money he had to finish the
picture! But it's a fun little movie, check it out sometime!
