The History of Vampire Alliance

Vampire Alliance started out in the remote area of Yew Territory with two strong willed Vampire women. Maharet and Razzan had a dream of uniting the Vampires of Paradyce Trinity in a nuetral guild. A few scarce members joined, although they were not all of the Vampire race. The Vampire Alliance stood for the light and fought along side the other guilds of the light in quests and Vahlic's raids of Britain. As the guild grew, VA moved out near Vesper, hoping to build a community there. Things became rather stagnant for the guild, although the members were prosperous, the guild itself wasn't growing. Together, Razzan and Maharet set out to investigate and put an end to the slaying of innocents in Serpent's Hold. This single event and what would follow, changed the course of VA for ever.

Razzan traveled to Serpent's Hold alone one day to lend her hand in assisting the "good" people there. What happened there, even she could not believe. She was attacked by the very people she came to save. Holding to her convictions, she never returned attack on the people. Yet they would not stop.

The wicked, Queen Ereshkigal came across Razzan's lifeless body and resurrected her, without question. Razzan, merely brushed herself off before unleashing her wrath on those who had killed her. So furious was her rage that none would stand in her way. Maharet tried to convince her to come back to the light. That resulted in a duel in which Razzan won the head of Maharet and the right to rule the VA anyway she chose.

Razzan, in her time in Serpent's Hold became interested in the Bloodgod, Vahlic. She left VA to join the Unholy Order of Paladins and serve under Vahlic. However, the UOP could not follow through on their promises to her, nor could the Bloodgod.

Having lost all faith in gods both good and evil, Razzan had a vision. To unite the Vampire race, but not to serve any god, and not to protect any mortal. Vampires are superior to all else, for none have the immortality of the Vampire. None else have the chance to gain the knowledge and experience of a mortal and then become eternal. Razzan began VA over again, this time the right way!

Fifteen Painted Cards
From A Vampire Tarot
by Neil Gaiman

"We're you," she said.
"We're you, with all your fuck-ups
and all the things that make you
human --
all your fears
and loneliness
and confusion...
none of that gets better.

"It's like getting famous,
or getting rich.
You're the same person
you were
when you were unknown
or poor.
Only worse.
All the bad things are magnified,
and you don't remember
where the good things are
anymore.

"It's all that.
But
it's more.
We're colder than you are.
Deader.
I miss daylight
and food
and knowing
how it feels to touch someone
and care.
I remember life,
and meeting people
as people
and not just as things
to feed on
or control,
and I remember what it was
to feel something,
anything,
happy
or sad
or anything..."

Then she stopped,
and lowered her head.

"Are you crying?" I asked.

"We don't cry,"
she told me.

Like I said,
the woman was a liar.
