You wander nearer the corner of the room, finding a small portal apart from most of the others, stuffed in a corner as it were. You glance around you and decide to step through. You feel a rush of air, a sensation of tumbling throuh the very fabric of time itself, and then it all stops. You look around, but it is pitch black. You squeeze your eyes closed, then open them again. There doesn't seem to be a speck of light to be found anywhere. You call out to the darkness, asking if someone might be there. You freeze when hearing an angry growl nearby, but it echos in the darkness and you can't determind from where it has come from. You are too afraid to even back up. You can't see a thing. Timidly, you again ask the darkness who might be there, your voice little more than a whisper. "Be gone," you hear angerly. You swallow, asking who is there. A growl of annoyance follows. "I am Shadowed, and I do not apreciate being disturbed, stranger. Be gone with you or face the penalty of death! Now go!" a voice roars. You whimper, nodding stupidly. It was certainly time to leave. |
