You choose a portal and step through it, feeling suspended and weightless for only a moment before feeling yourself hit the ground. Hard. You are knocked to your knees, and let out a small yelp at the frost you find pressing against your palms. You pull yourself up, trying to rub your hands on your clothes to warm them up again. You glance around. It looks like winter's coming to this realm, and quickly. There is hardly a thing in sight. You hear something behind you, possibly the strange jingling of a few bells, and turn, blinking in surprise to see what appears to be a large reindeer-like creature proudly stalking over to you. Vaprrenon leans over, now visible and obviously riding on the great creature's back. You stare as the deer stops and its catlike rider slips from its back to come over to you. "This is Chress," Vaprrenon says, scratching the great animal's nose affectionatly. "He was a Christmas gift to the CCF members from Domitre back in 2001. Isn't he just a doll? " She smiles over to you hapily. The deerlike creature sighs and proceeds to nudge your shoulder for attention. It shakes its great head, the bells around its neck chimming together. It paws the ground impatiently and you then hesitantly reach out a hand to pet the beast's head to stroke it. Chrees snorts happily, letting you pet him, quite enjoying the attention. You don't blame him. By the looks of this place, there probably aren't too many companions for the deerlike pet; this place looks next to barren except for the little trio to which you find yourself currently belonging. It's cold, hardly any plantlife. You wonder how much company poor Chrees gets reguarly. |
